I don't like hiding costs in delivery fees. nobody does

    • +2

I have to agree. $9.90 isn't unreasonable for cuff links but just because of your tactics, i call shenanigans and won't buy.

if you buy 5 pairs, you only pay the delivery once and the price per item also drops significantly. The idea, is to encourage you to buy multiple pairs in one order, not to hide costs in delivery.

        • Your wording does make it seem like you're using the voucher and spending $9.90 on a pair of cufflinks, and you can order "multiple times". Maybe instead of "per voucher" you could say "per order".

          Sounds like:
          Set 1:
          $9.90 delivered
          Set 2:
          $9.90 delivered
          Set 3:
          $9.90 delivered

          Instead of 3 sets for $6 + 1 lot of $7.90 delivery.

          $29.70 compared to $13.90.

I think you phrase it wrong.

"The idea, is to try to offload our cufflinks in greater numbers to you, the delivery costs are just meant to make the cuff links seem cheap at $2/pair"

        • +6

Regardless of what the "idea" is - you ARE costs in the delivery. It is dishonest, and in the end it makes you as a seller look bad. And let's be honest, your idea is to make them seem cheap so you can sell more - not to benefit the customer.

Furthermore, another thing I don't like about it (aside from the fact that it is dishonest) is if a customer is entitled to a refund, you are only obliged to refund the price paid for the item, not the shipping.

There is a syntax error on the list of available cufflinks. Can't open up the page.

    • -2

Must be down, this is their other site http://www.swallowfashion.com.au/ (you will notice link to Swallow Formal in the menu bar) with the same error appearing.

      • +3

This looks total spam..!!!!! none of the links are opening.. i think they are just trying to increase their web traffic… Mod.. can I request to take this ad down pls . so that other members do not fall for this gimmick.!!!

        • +2

If you feel this way use the report button!

  • +1

There is not a single cufflink in the link you gave…. TOTAL SPAM

    • -3

Not Spam, just try later… looks like their site is down at the moment….

  • Still getting the syntax error if I want to Browse the collection and decide if there are any I'd be interested in.

Swallow Fashion & Formal operate several retail stores in Queensland, and online retail website. It is just a website error. Just try again later or don't buy until its up and running again. Thanks

    • Seems to fit in with what people were saying in the previous deal that G-Dawg has linked to below.

If anyone was brave enough and has managed to order any of this stuff, please make sure you update this thread with how it turns out, good, bad or indifferent.

Wow that last deal didn't go well at all, particularly towards the end of the comments.

It seems the best advice regarding this merchant would be

      AVOID AT ALL COST

      • In defense of the seller, they did refund me my hard earned $5 without any trouble.

Total SCAM… This rep should be banned from posting here…! We dont want our fellow OZBargainers to be loosing money to such scams…

  • I learned the hard way:

    From Paypal:
We completed our investigation for the following transaction:
    Case ID: PP-00-23-13-40-14-1-12
    Transaction Date: 13 Oct 2012
    Seller's Email: [email protected]
    Seller's Name: ikoala.com.au pty ltd

Unfortunately, we are refusing your claim because your purchase was for a
virtual, digital or intangible item, which is not covered under PayPal
Buyer Protection. We only cover claims involving physical items that can be
    shipped and tracked.

Easy way to rip people off I guess.
