  • what is the difference between https://www.i-tech.com.au/cu265-dual-port-pd-65w-gan-fast-wa… and this Belkin one (and not just from people's speculations)

    • +4

      Belkin has 2x USB-C, whereas the Simplecom has 1x USB-C + 1x USB-A

Belkin also does PPS (which is needed for Samsung's 'Super Fast Charging').

      • Ah yes sorry I meant to say apart from those haha but I do prefer the USB-A as it is more versatile!

        Almost $10-$20 cheaper though.

Dual 65W?! Reads fine print … Nope.

Title is a bit ambiguous, i instinctively read it as 'dual usb type C, 65W', not 'dual 65W usb type C', but it does look like dual 65 from the title.

i do have one and know its not dual 65W

    • it's a marketing trick for those who don't know well enough.

means if you use a single port, you don't have to check which port you plug into you can still get 65w max from both with only one port being used.

but if you intend to use both ports, you need to have a looksie and choose the 45w/65w one if you want to get the max possible for one of the devices which is 45w from that single port with both ports being used.

      Yes

    • I would definitely go for the Belkin models, especially at this price, if you care about your devices.

  • Hrmm, seems like the 4 port one can't do PPS.

Not mentioned on the [product page] (https://www.belkin.com/au/4-port-gan-charger-108w/P-WCH010.h…) either so I'm going to assume it doesn't do it. Shame.

Hard pass. Better if buying through JB or someone you can return to given the coil whine

    Also no pps on this

  • why do these expire so quickly when the code is still live?

    • +1

Because the seller has jacked the pre discount code price up, so the discounted price is then much higher.

      • missed that thanks. I just clicked the "Original coupon deal" link and saw it is still active and was confused.

usually they jack the prices before the sale. 😅

  • Just a heads up the Belkin I have doesn't solidly plug-in to the wall outlet and comes unplugged if I ever so slightly pull my charge cable too far. Personally, I would go for another brand next time I buy a charger.
