Struggling to see a deal here? 6c/point?

for anyone remotely thinking about this, please note that buying points directly from qantas will 9 times out of 10 be worse value. For the same price, you can get a case of wine (https://wine.qantas.com/p/the-grand-red-dozen-iii/MIX2306047) + 24,000 points.

    • i dont drink wine, what other great deals are there?

    eeewww Qantas. no thanks

Just as a warning for anyone considering this, you would be better off buying wine that comes with bonus points.

For example, with this top-up offer you would pay $1,155 for 60,000 Qantas points. For just $45 more, you could buy 30 bottles of Yalumba shiraz and earn at least 58,700 points (5,000 extra points on your first order). If you're placing a large order over the phone, you can also get thousands or even tens of thousands of extra points awarded at the discretion of the wine advisor – just ask them.

    • "you can also get thousands or even tens of thousands of extra points awarded at the discretion of the wine advisor – just ask them"

@VantageXL Reeeeally? That is very interesting, it sounds like you speak from experience. What might the conversation sound like? Anything you have said that got the advisor to slide you extra points?

      • Just tell them that you're considering placing a large order and want to know if you can get some extra points. Negotiate until you get what you want.

Would not recommend buying Qantas points at this rate.

Because the Op is being lazy.

    0 - 14,000pts = no bonus
    15,000 - 39,000pts = 25% bonus
    40,000 - 150,000pts = 50% bonus

    To put it in perspective,
    Buy 15,000pts (18750 total) = $532
    17090 pts = $100 woolies gift card.

    • Time on buying gift card and try to sell it
These process does take longer also one Wws card 10k points per day maybe
So in conjunction with all the options
This one is still a good option hah

      • I think you are missing the point. Nobody said to buy a gift card and sell it.

        • Then use it for yourself or own use?
Buy hundreds of gift cards for furniture’s or computers every month?
Then must be very good if so !

          • @Lengyi3211: No it's just a comparison to show how bad the value is if you choose going this way. You spend ~$500 for ~18k points, which is only worth $100 WWS gift card.

        • I just provide another aspect to this method, every method has merits and demerits :)

          • @Lengyi3211: Other than you needing the points urgently, there is not much merit to this method. Don't take it from me, but read around articles on PointHacks etc.

You are better off buying wines with special offer from Qantas wine as pointed out by someone else above.

            • @foxes28: Thank you appreciate it :)

Yes use it only due to urgency:)
Or buy wines to get points is Another nice way

    I bought it haha
    It’s simple and almost instant

Not best option but is an option when you need it urgently
