Where Do You Buy Your Crypto Mines?

Where do you buy you bitcoin ASICs etc?
What places are good?

Do the local resellers mark up the price?
Is it better to buy from overseas manufacturers? In which case how do you get the correct power supply?

I thought mining was dead/not worth.

Why would the people making asics sell them to you if they already did the hard work and running them was easy profit?

    • Is it possible to build an ASIC yourself?

If you have to ask these questions you're about to lose a lot of money in this venture…

Shut up, we can all get rich following this discussion..

  • 2019?

  • Bitcoin mining is only feasible for the big operators with dozens of machines. I remember reading somewhere that for the average person to mine one bitcoin it could take up to 9 years running an ASIC for 24 hours a day 7 days per week, and using lots of electricity. Even then it's a gamble that you would be successful!

Unless you have a very low cost supply of electricity, then it is not likely to be profitable for you.
Before you buy anything, first run the numbers and see how it stacks up.
At what bitcoin price does it become profitable?
How much effort are you willing to put in?
Where are you storing these? Cooling / thermal considerations costs?
Do your research before you lay out any money.

Hang on, you're not serious about this are you? I was assuming this was a joke thread…

But if you were serious, if you need to ask about power supplies, that means you need to look into this waaay more carefully. Because that question was like asking if kero or meths is better for using in a car. You're gonna get fleeced big time.

    • OP is going to make one form wood and hot wires

  • I got a good deal on a bridge, and some land thats a bit damp, and mines all in one deal… The seller found me in the carpark at Coles… the whole deal was done in minutes.. Hes going to send me the info.. Cheques in the mail….

  • Genuinely - you need to do more research

  • With all due respect………………….

  • Where Do You Buy Your Crypto Mines?

Ask Gina or Twiggy. They would certainly know…

  • I'm disappointed at the jokesters and naysayers.

OP has a honest question and frankly I'd like to see them move further along the "converting non crypto to crypto assets" pipeline.

Let's take her questions seriously, for those so inclined
there will plenty of time for jokes later.

    • Do you seriously think that given the initial questions, that OP should be encouraged to pursue setting up a mining farm?

This would be like me asking OzB for advice on the best way to go about purchasing and operating an emerald mine.

there will plenty of time for jokes later.

Better laugh about it now than later, when she's blown tens of thousands of dollars on hardware and power costs.

I see you are unfamiliar with both OP and the historic quality of her posts.

  • I buy mine at the solar powered flashlight store across the wind powered fan store right next to the water powered tap store.

No but in all seriousness why not just invest in some random crypto instead if you are determined to join this wild goose chase that is crypto currency.

There is probably some new meme doge inu space Elon mars ai coin to be bought.

Better to rent a share in a mining operation, they manage it overseas with cheap rates
