  • How does this compare Fenix 7 pro?

    • The Epix (Gen 2) is basically a Fenix 7 (non-pro) with an OLED screen instead of the MIP display on the Fenix series.

The main additions on the 7 pro are the new elevate 5 HR sensor, a dedicated flashlight and more accurate/quicker GPS via GNSS (don't think the Epix has this but could be wrong).

      • Epix Sapphire (in this post) also has the same multi-band GPS chipset as the Fenix 7 series, only the Epix non-Sapphire with stainless steel bezel has the different single-band chipset.

Otherwise yes, the Epix Sapphire is literally the Fenix 7 (non Pro) with an AMOLED screen, which is much better for basically everyone unless you need extra battery life.

Same applies to Epix Pro vs Fenix 7 Pro.

when will the 51mm pro sapphire go down..

    • Not so soon, it was launched in May this year. I'm waiting for 42mm's price to come down. Same story

    • Next year this time when Fenix 8 launches

  • Does this have the new hr v 5 sensor

This one is the old model. I think it has version 4. Epix gen2 PRO

    • +2

No. That's only on the Epix Pro (Gen 2).
