Two People Transferring Reward Points into a Single Krisflyer Account?

Hi all,

My partner has about 300,000 Amplify points that we are planning to convert into Krisflyer miles. I am thinking of opening my own credit card with a decent signup bonus (not necessarily St George Amplify) to earn Krisflyer miles as well.

We would like to pool these points into one Krisflyer account (which would only be under one person's name).

Does anyone have any experience in pooling reward points from different credit cards (with different names) into a single Krisflyer account? Or any issues anyone can see here?

Edit: just to clarify, this is different from transferring and pooling KrisFlyer miles between KrisFlyer accounts

ask the credit company, but i have hunch the answer is no. nice idea tho.

    • Will message the credit card company and see what they say. So far it seems you can add any name and frequent flyer number when converting but I guess there’s a possibility that request to convert may get rejected if the names need to match. I just can’t find any fine print!

i believe the name of the Krisflyer account needs to match the primary cardholders name.

    • Thanks, yeah that’s my main worry. Will message KrisFlyer/Singapore to see what they say and update the post.

    You won't be able to

But maybe check if SQ has something similar to Virgin and Qantas' family pooling/transfer option

Krisflyer do not allow pooling of points

  • Amplify is 3/1 for KF now.
You're better off waiting for a VFF bonus then going to KF. You can family pool in VFF

  • The transfer will likely bounce! And in the event that you don't, it does seemed like there have been discussions on FlyerTalk about being audited, and one has to provide lots of documentation and risk having the flights cancelled too. Might not be worth the risk.
