NetGear Nighthawk RAX70 Not Connecting on Wi-Fi

Hey, I had my internet set up today with Aussie Broadband 1000/50Mps FTTP.

I am trying to connect my router to get Wi-Fi and nothing comes up on Wi-Fi. I have downloaded the Nighthawk App and I scan the QR code on the router, when it says searching for Wi-Fi nothing happens.

I have reset the modem and router multiple times and haven’t had any luck.

All the lights on the router appear to be normal (white fixed LED light) yet the Wi-Fi does not appear.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Problem fixed, had to do the laptop/computer method, screw trying to use the app.

  • I had a similar issue, I had to ring the ISP and get them to reset something. Can’t remember what, something was configured wrong for the new nighthawk.

  • Push the Wi-Fi button for 2 seconds and?

  • By reset are you rebooting or doing a factory reset? On the RAX70 you can do this to do a factory reset.

Do you have a laptop that you can connect to the router directly and then try to login that way?

  • What's the exact issue, is your router not able to connect to the internet (i.e. a WAN issue), or are you not able to connect to your router via WiFi (i.e. a WLAN issue)?

If you're setting up, try connecting your computer directly to the router with an ethernet cable and eliminate one of the variables.
