Might want to clarify what this is, I had to click through the work it out.

    • I agree. I mean, it’s a rotary dimmer yes, and the picture is the product for sure, but wow I 100% thought I was looking at little jars of something

Thought I was looking at some homeopathy baloney “wifi blocking” makeup/nail polish jars or something.

        • +1

          So did I lol.

  • Regarding wifi operation: when dimming value is chosen, does the dial on the mech rotate to represent the dimmed-position?

    • No its a counter, so the position doesn't move.

      • Ahh, so just an infinitely rotating encoder? Interesting product. Very tempted…

  • If I need a dimmer bypass for load under 20W, would Shelly Bypass be suitable?
Also, would they fit into Iconic plates?

    • +1

Yes the Shelly bypass works. No the do not fit iconic plates.

Does it work on a fan?

    • @Oz Smart Things I’d also like to know if this works with a fan.. I assume not, but worth asking

      • No you should never use dimmers on fans.

Do these fit clipsal iconic plates?

    • I want to know the same

      • Sadly No, unless someone else corrects me. Iconic have a different clip system for holding the controls (rocker, dial etc) in place with the face plate.

Not recommending it, but the control size does fit thus could you might be able to remove the clips and use some other form of holding it in the face plate…

  • Also what makes these worth more than this from bunnings:

I'm guessing that it's a rotary knob, rather than a push button you have to hold down to alter…?

    • +1

      $74 each vs 3 for $99

    • Ours are cheaper and have a rotary dimmer. What you sent is $75 for 1 push dimmer. We are selling 3 for $99.98

  • Description says 20w minimum load, how spec table says 5w?

    • Minimum loading for power is 5w but we recommend a minimum of 20w or you may see flickering when dimming. If it's less than 20w you can use a bypass..

  • Can these act as on/off switch? Do I need to increase the gang number on my plate (if I don't have dimmers) or can I just replace the switch with this? Seems liek it could be annoying to have this instead of a switch if I don't already have dim mechs on the gang…

    • You press them in to on/off. Turn to dim.

  • Happy customer of 6 of these. Tuya based and work fine with local control in home assistant. Have not skipped a beat for close to a year now. Recommend and not affiliated.
