What Long Expiry Date SIM for iPad

We have purchased a cellular ipad for xmas for the mother in law who is looking to be able to watch a couple of shows a night on Brit Box and play a couple of games of solitare, very light use we expect.
She has no wifi so will need to get a data SIM for 365 days - not sure how many GB to get though. How much does watching a say a couple movies or shows per night take up in data, Im just not sure at which data plan to get and who to go through.

Thanks !

3 Months Free on Any SIM Only/Mobile Broadband Plan for Commbank Credit/Debit Card Holders for 3 months
Then Vodafone's $20/Month 20GB plan - speeds slowed to 2Mbps after all data used.
Or Belong's Mobile Broadband $15/Month 20GB plan - speeds slowed to 1Mbps after all data used. Easy to buy cheap data on eBay
    Or Boost 100% cashback sims

2Mbps is fine for 1080p streaming

*I would mention Felix Mobile but iPads aren't an approved device. No harm in asking them. Use at your own risk.

Vodafone has good reception at my place these days so I just buy a 365 day sim from Kogan every year for our iPad.
They have a Christmas sale on at the moment.

That may not be enough for streaming videos every night.

      • We’ve got the 500gb, if you break it down to monthly it works out to just over 40gb @ $15 per month. If more than that is needed than no this won’t be suitable.

    • Can you buy a physical sim for kogan at the shops ?

      • I’m not sure, if you order online and request a physical sim they’ll send one out and email you the voucher code for the plan.
