Derrimut has recently jacked their establishment fees from $49 to $59, then to $79 and now $88 all in the span of six months.. Very nice of them.

However, they have a new sale now! Not as good as the three previous ones, but will still post for anyone interested in a gym with a cheap price compared to other gyms. The new sale which has replaced the previous one is $288 (Membership Cost) + $88 (Establishment/Admin Fee), hence $376.00 total upfront for 1 year membership.

      In defence of Bugs, it was a lot cheaper five days ago. Might be their best deal today, but good to be reminded of such a recent price history.

        That was the reason I posted it. It's obviously garnered a very negative response but I would contend a "deal" that is 40% more expensive than just yesterday is in no way a deal.

        Just because this is the lowest price today does not make it a bargain. I think all the down votes on my comment are pretty harsh.

          @BugsBunnyAUS: Agree. Ended up messaging Derrimut livechat as its still being advertised on instagram and fb as $188 today, livechat agent said that the promo closed 11.59pm yesterday.
          So yeah, I will be passing on this and keeping an eye out for it to drop again.

      It also says the membership has to be activated within 7 days of purchasing. If the Midland location isn't open yet, how does one activate their membership?

        No idea mate.
        Probably best to ask their support and find out if there's a way around it or if the gym is going to be open in the next 7 days.

        On the website, it's a presale for WA. It automatically activates once the gym opens.

  1gr carbo: 4 cal, 1 gr protein: 4 cal, 1gr fat (oil): 9 cal. Carbo means fresh immediate energy source. Brain only uses glucose (sugar=carbo). To loose weight that's why one needs to cut carbo intake so that fat can be burned. I am not going into the Krebs and ATP, TCA cycles. Instead of going to Berrymont, go into Krebs cycle, which is free for all, no membership fee.
  If one consumes excessive chocolate, ice cream, beer (barley is full of carbo), cake etc. and then cries why getting fat and fatter. If you eat/drink macca, KFC, HJ's and other junks as if there is no tomorrow, then it would be the end result. Don't cry Argentina!

  No deal, was $199 + $50 a month ago and $88 1 weeks ago. They're jacking the prices up because of the huge influx of 'new year resolutions!' sign ups in January. It's just smart business, but not a deal. 4-5 months when the next crunch hits it'll be back to $199.
