  • A lot of QC issues with these printers in the reviews I've seen. Bit disappointing as Elegoo make great resin printers.

Also, this printer isn't enclosed. It can't print ABS and nylon as is.

    • Do you have this exact Elegoo ? In terms of you saying it can't print ABS/Nylon on the 4. As doesn't 4 series have a new high-temperature nozzle go to 300 C now vs the Elegoo Neptune 3 pro

  • Man, invest just a bit more and grab a BambuLab P1P or P1S, stop buying these Creality alike printer full if headache.

I have a Voron and building my second Voron, it does pay off to pay more. Less to no headache, things just works.
The amount of users on forums having tons of problems with these cheap 3d printers are wild.

    • +1

by just a bit more you mean more than twice the price? Those run $800-900

I have one of the Elegoo Neptune 4's, paid about $330 for it. Yeah there are definitely been few firmware issues with these which is a bit annoying but i haven't encountered anything that prevented me from printing. There was an issue with the auto bed leveling feature which has supposedly been fixed now but i haven't bothered to update yet, with an occasional manual level it works great.. So far it's been pretty reliable with great prints, is pretty good quality and feature rich for the price.

      • Does it print nylon fairly okay out the box with the new high temp nozzle, have you tried nylon and flexible filament yet ?

      • I'm not new into 3D printing, Creality (who never haha), Prusa, BambuLab and now Voron so somewhat 4y into this hobby.

I'm also in a bunch of 3D printing Discord, these cheap printers will work or whatever that means, just like the users having problems or returning these cheap printers because of problems.

I know too well that when somebody says a $300 has good printing quality, that is often not true.
