        • It will still act as a doorbell, and can view the live video anytime you want.

          I believe you can't record videos (or at least access them) and access motion settings.

          Other features comes with the subscription as well, can't recall them all.

  • I have been charged $115 for the ring door bell only (amazon fkin removed all 4 echo pops and had guts of saying to me "you paid $115 for the ring door bell only there is no echo pops in your order"

    • Go into the order details, how much does it say you were actually charged?

      Mine also shows $115 on that page, but only charged $57.74.

        $115 for both of them cancelled both of my orders I aint dealing with brainless amazon CS

        didn't put price on the earlier one as people would get confused with me paying $76 for it (when I paid rest $30 with GC, and a promo credit of $10 )

  • Lol Damn Amazon they remove the Eco Pops from my order too, does anyone here have the screenshot of 4 pops and the doorbell for total of $116? Please share if you do Tia, i would like to dispute the transaction with my bank as i never authorised the charge of $115 for the Doorbell alone.

  • First rep point blank told me my Ring Doorbell would arrive on the 17th of January and refused to acknowledge any questions about the cancelled Echo and then just straight up ended the chat

    Third rep gave me a $29 promotional credit so I could get an Echo

      • I suppose in a roundabout way of looking at it. The credit was for a future order, I don’t think it’s limited to just the Echo. Getting 4x Echos and the Doorbell was a long shot to begin with, but I was hoping for at least one Echo haha

    Finally, I could cancel the Ring doorbell for $115. I told that guy, 'That is not your problem; it's a system issue. When you outsource all IT matters to cheaper countries, you can't expect the same level of service.' I think that guy also took it personally.

    I just finished a 50 min chat after being passed around heaps, told I won’t be getting charged less even though I’m not receiving the dots anymore. They said they can’t even see the original listing and order, and eventually said the dots were OOS when I mentioned my email from Amazon canceling them. Did anyone get a screenshot of the invoice breakdown of $57 for the ring? They couldn’t cancel either. Think I might contact ACCC after Christmas.

              @mmd: I challenged the offer. They had only offered $29 GC as compensation. Sent the screen shot and told them its illegal to charge me full price when breakdown of cost shows $57. Then i said i should be pushing for a full refund. Out of the blue the CS rep says ok and refunds

      Please contact ACCC about this. I personally didn't buy any but was watching this deal from the start. What Amazon did is incredibly dodgy and if they were to remove the pops then they should have cancelled the order in its entirety. ACCC would be very interested to hear about it

    Yesterday i tried cancellation of Doorbell but it didn’t allow me to cancel. Apparently they have shipped 4xEcho and Doorbell today. Lets see if i will be able to return the Doorbell only.

    Update on 4 Echo Pop! I finally got a rep to help me out , copied from chat screen below;

      The escalated support agent recommended this before i said anything. Purchased the 4 echo pops for $116 and told i'll be refunded once the item has been marked as shipped.

      Saved screenshots of the conversation etc just in case as well.

      This potentially means i'll have got the ring bell 2 + the 4 echo dots for $57.74.

      Still have 8 x echo 3rd gen brand new from order errors like this early last year. I was planning to return the echos anyways

    I ordered mine quite late, but it just updated to be shipped. No mention of cancelling any of the pops, and tax invoice shows all 4 pops. Thanks.

  • Am I the only one that received mine? Received 4 pops and the ring doorbell for $116 and it’s awesome.

    FYI mine is Venetian bronze and the pops were charcoal. Also you can turn the pop into a chime so there’s no need for any additional part.

    • Did you originally get a cancellation email? I did and it looks like they are only sending the doorbell for $115. So I'll wait until it arrives and send it back if it is.

  • I ordered the doorbell, 2 charcoal and 2 glacier echo pops. Order was split in two (Doorbell + 2 charcoal, then 2 glacier). I thought it was done this way as the shipping time on the glacier was a few days later. They cancelled the 2 glacier but not the first order. Today I received the doorbell and 2 pops, was only charged $86.88.

  • Got off chat with support today, I got the doorbell and not the pops for $57.74.

    After escalating, the end result was that my details get added to a ticket along with everyone else. Apparently once they figure out a resolution, they'll email me.

    Was hoping for at least 1 pop free to use as a chime….

    Will be calling bank for chargeback.

    This episode needs to be escalated to ACCC.

  • Agent told me on the 24th to place the order again which I dutifully did, but it's still not been shipped. If I order more Echo Pops seperately they will be delivered to Perth on Sunday, but the order with the Ring and Pops still hasn't moved

  • About 90 minutes on chat, shunted between 3 different agents who dont want to do anything. Got charged $115 and only got a doorbell.

    Edit: What happens with Amazon when you file a bank chargeback for the payment?

      Bank sides with amazon.
      Then you dispute the decision with the bank.
      It gets escelated to visa or mastercard international.
      They rule in your favor.
      Wait another 2 months for bank to action Visa or MC decision.

      I currently have a $8xx dispute with amazon. Was ruled in my favor but bank has not actioned the refund.

        It's more due to the rudeness of the support staff, and constantly getting reconnected to someone else saying "How can i assist" after i'd just spent 20 minutes explaining to someone the situation. They seriously couldn't give a damn which is odd, been with Amazon since they started in Aus and spent 10's of thousands with them, got Prime, about a dozen Alexa devices, several Ring devices and i've rarely ever contacted support.

        This was their screw up and they want no part of making it right. So i told them to refund the 22 items i've bought in the last 30 days and they are all going back including the gift cards, $500 in Ring floodlight cams, Samsung 990, Wera tools etc.

          Gotta admit, I'm not sure what's changed in the last year or so but their support stuff willingness to help have gone down the absolute shitter.

          I was told to place the order again with 4x Pops and 1 Doorbell at full price ($231) and a week later it still hasn't shipped. I can order 4x Pops that'll be here (Perth) by Thursday, but this one still hasn't shipped out with the Doorbell. I contacted their support staff today and he flat out lied telling me my payment method had been rejected twice. It definitely hasn't as I've placed orders before and after this one with the same payment details, and if it ever does reject I get an email from Amazon asking me to update the details, so I politely called the agent out and told him if that's the case we definitely need to escalate this as there's clearly an error going on, he more or less told me that wasn't gonna happen and ended the chat. Tried a new agent who confirmed the payment has never been rejected but couldn't really offer any explanation as to why it hasn't been shipped yet.

          Good times!

  • Finally received my order today of 4x Echo Pops (Doorbell still on the way). As instructed by an Amazon rep I placed the order again at $231, with the promise of the difference ($115) being refunded once the items arrive.

    Contacted their live chat and phone support today and being absolutely stone walled being told they do not price match and will not refund the difference despite my chat history showing the agent was the one who instructed me to place the order again. Even provided screenshots and am getting nowhere.

    Not really surprised, but their support is an absolute shit show these days

      It goes to some higher CS officers, native English speakers, who should sort the issue for you. Otherwise return all for full refund

      • Thanks for that. I sent off an email to that address last night after stumbling upon a comment suggesting so, I also sent it off to [email protected]. Received an email today from the standard cs-reply email and got a response that they've added $115 Promotional Credit to my account for me. I'm not sure if the reply was from me emailing the Jeff@Amazon account or the resolution account, it came with their normal scripted spiel though.

        At the end of the day we were all shooting for the stars aiming for 4 of these things for free essentially and it's totally fine if they just cancelled all the orders but the mess of some peoples orders being cancelled, others being delivered, order totals remaining the same despite all Echo Pops being removed was pretty poor. Then to follow on to be instructed by their staff to place the order again based on the fact the difference would be refunded and then not actually do it is laughable. They didn't even tell me I could return them :D

          Yeh I totally agree. I didn't take part in this as I knew it would be a pain to try and offload the 4 echos, but agree that it was handled poorly. I would be returning your original order now to stick it to them and you can keep the promo credit for yourself 😂
