That Tablet has a VERY slow CPU in ur,ur better off spending the 90 bucks and getting the same one with a SD680 in it

      • Are they decent? Don’t know much about android or tablets…
Would mainly use for streaming and web, light gaming

        • +1

It's great. I paid $220. 90% for Youtube. Good screen and good sound. Below average for gaming but I can play MTG Arena and Hearthstone.

      • 2K is also a nice improvement in the plus version.

      • Bummer it's still 4gb ram, even 6gb would have been nice.

    • +1

      110 bucks more tho

    • +1

So what if it is slow? I'm just watching videos, web, and the odd game, not bitcoin mining.
The big problem with cheap tablets in the past has been lack of RAM and poor displays, not so much the cpu.

Nice specs on the Motorola Edge too. Any catch?
I've been very pleased with Motorola in the past. Unlike Samsung, they don't muck about with Android too much, trying to make "improvements".

    • Is this tablet the same as the one from Aldi a couple weeks ago? Minus the case and stylus? That one was $199.

  • +3

On one hand it’s only 139

On another hand… better off saving your money?

    • I paid $298 from one of these from amazon less than three weeks ago, (profanity) it

  • OP it's the edge 30 fusion not ultra at the same price. Ultra is $699

  • +1

    fixed. thanks

  • My daughter's Samsung died two days ago, I grabbed her a Moto Fusion and I'm seriously impressed with it, seems like a very good phone for the money.

    • +1

I went from the Fusion 20 to 30 and will probably get the 40 or 50 eventually.

Chop chop flashlight and twist twist camera are must haves for me.

    • You might be impressed with the hardware but the software support , 🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮

      • +2

I agree. The software is rubbish.

Came from a Poco F3 and the bugs this Motorola Edge 40 has is ridiculous. Can't even do picture in picture with YouTube and chrome going, without stuttering. Messenger has waiting for network issues. YouTube goes choppy when doing 2x playback at 1080p. Chrome locks up at times too.

Just the ROM is really really poorly optimised. Won't be going motorola again unless they can get their shit together.

Would you go a54 over these motos?

      • Didn't notice anything bad, neither did she, she's given it a thrashing with Snapchat, Instagram and typical teenager shit. Powered it up and it started downloading security updates, up to November 2023.

  • Was about to burst into tears that I bought the Edge 40 last week for 499, but I realised that the Edge 30 Pro has the poor battery life Sd8 Gen 1.

    Phew.

  • Anyone used the M10 for Roblox?

Before you say "anything will run Roblox" these days Roblox can be pretty intensive and doesn't run the well on some tablets. So if anyone who plays it can tell me that would be appreciated.

    • I got the M10 Plus, so hoping it does.

    • My 6 year old uses his for Roblox, it runs quite well though it's worth noting that he does have the graphic settings turned down.

He plays this one game that has a lot of stuff moving on the screen (tbh so much moving stuff that it makes me feel a bit sick trying to keep up) and I've not noticed it stuttering or anything like that.

Recently setup an M10 for a client and was thoroughly impressed with what you can get for $140. Is it the fastest thing on earth? No, but jeez it was good for $140

    • Thnaks mate. Planning to get it for parents. it would be for light browsing and pretty much for showing photos and videos.

      • +1

And when they're finished with it you have a nice Home Assistant remote :)

  • Anyone see any good deals on the lenovo USI pen? Haven't seen one for ages

  • Got the Redmi Pad SE from AliExpress for around $250 delivered. No regrets.

  • Some reviews says it is slow and laggy. I wonder if actual users can give their feedback on how slow is that slow?

    • +3

The M10? Yeah it's not great with multitasking and actually opening apps, but once the app you're loading is up, it runs fairly well. Great for someone patient who just wants to play light games and watch some YouTube videos.

Compared to the Samsung tab a8, I prefer it. Firstly it's way cheaper, the colour accuracy is really good (I found the a8 to have a strong blue tinge to it) and the tablet just feels more premium with better placed buttons (it's set up for landscape mode)
I can't say I notice much performance difference between the two.

Only drawback of the M10 is it doesn't have fast charging so we rely on a portable charger if we head out with the toddlers and it's not charged beforehand

      • you say that but i have been using it today and for light multitasking and browsing and watching videos its smooth as hell

  • Any wall mount option for this tablet?

    • +1

I just printed a wall mount from printables for mine. Few models on there, but has to be the gen 3 2023 M10 version (not gen 2 or plus). The sizing and placement of roles are different.

FYI, this is a good price for the tablet, but was this price a few weeks ago too at officeworks, jb, good guys. I picked one up at good guys on black friday. Its a good tablet for the price, I use mine for a home assistant dashboard and its snappy enough (not lag at all). For me, there was no need going for a higher spec like the plus for extra $$.

It does come with a lot of bloatware, i removed all the included games and apps so it runs only what I need. Suspect this will help.

  • is the tablet good for watching online movie, youtube and TikTok?
or I need get that k2 plus version for extra $$$
I don't play game at all.

    • Yes fine for that

      • many thanks!

  • Lenovo Tab M10 101 youtube only runs at 720p.

    Hi everyone,

I just wanted to post a message detailing the debloating steps required for an m10.

number 1: DO NOT remove tablet center. it will force your tablet to crash on boot. idky why but it seems like the operating system runs a check to see if its chinese data mining spyware is installed… either a) remove all permissions and remove updates (making the app useless) or b) disable the app (but do not uninstall)

number 2: get android platform tools on a computer and you can remove or disable any system app (ones that cant be removed or disabled by the tablet). you can only remove them on a per user basis as i dont believe there is any way to root the tablet (i will update if that changed)

number 3: on your computer use an app like universal android debloater for a nicer gui when uninstalling apps (however disabling apps will require the command 'adb shell pm disable-user —user 0 (package name)' to find an app's package name use the app 'application inspector' on your tablet). (user 0 is for the first/owner user (01 for second user, 11 for third user (i believe you will have to check yourself))

anyways help this helps someone or gives them a headstart
