Better off getting 70 inch sharp led
    Or Panasonic s 65 inch for $3500

    • For that matter, $1000 1080p projectors that do 100+ inches look pretty amazing these days, even in fairly well-lit rooms.

  • +1

    Dayem! That's an expensive bargain!

  • The rate with which TV screen sizes are growing makes me wonder, if at all they will they will replace Cinema Screens with FULL HD screens??

May be I'm living in an AVATAR generation!

    • +1

Unless our houses are growing at the same rate, the answer is no.

    • Something about that first site seems dodgy. Westinghouse TV's not here??

      • +1

The site I called dodgy? Yes, it does look dodgy.

  • Can the average living room accommodate a tv of this size (or larger) - how far from a 60" screen would one need to sit?

    • +1

3.6m would be the ideal viewing distance, 2.5 times the size of the screen, so plenty of people could accommodate this.

  • I think 60"- 65" is the largest you can go for a 1080p resolution before the image quality suffers as the pixels are getting magnified.

Have you seen the 80" lcd at jb ? Looks crap imho.

    • +1

It looks crap because it's a crap screen. Wait until Samsung makes a 80".

      • +1

        UHD can't come quick enough.

    • What are you smoking? 1080p projectors look fantastic at 100 inches. It's more about the image quality (brightness, contrast, colour, etc).

      • Image quality = brightness, contrast, colour ? Lol what are you smoking ? When does pixel density appear on your list ?

Better start telling the tv manufacturers to stop developing their 4k technology and tell apple to scrap their retina display.

you can go back to your crt tv now.

i am pretty sure you can get the same tv in one year with $1000 less.

    • it's already happening in USA.

  • "we have plenty of stock"
    No wonder at that price.
