Cheap avocados are cheap. Why are they cheap? Who knows. They looked good and I bought a few. Not dead yet.

    It should always be this cheap. There is an over abundance of Avos in WA from the Southwest region, but due to Colesworths profiteering avos are instead discarded/thrown out in tonnes every season by farmers.

    Recent avocados taste like shit, at least in NSW. Woolworths, Coles or Harris Farmm, all the same. Don’t know why.

      I think they have been picked before they are ready.
      Over the past month I have bought avocados with the Degrado sticker and they never ripen. When they do become slightly soft (after a couple of weeks!) they have gone from rock hard to tasteless mush.
      I have an avocado tree myself and I have the same problem if I pick avocados too early.

    Most of the stock would be from the 23rd, with Avocados having ~3-4 days life in ambient temp.. explains the markdown. But if they were weren't quite ripe to begin with.. may be ok
