How many of us have clicked, read the comments and then find they went out of stock while we were reading?

  • Yeah, done that a few times when the store allows cancellation.

I've also missed deals reading through the comments as @BoltThrower had mentioned.

  • Somewhere between a bajillion and a gazillion …

amazon deals are the worst, buy first, then read comments, easy cancel if something goes wrong.

  • including once today.

    Was that the Garmin Instinct?

    • The Giantz storage shelves sigh

      • at least they come with gloves?
        .

  • It’s probably happened but I don’t recall it happening recently. Probably because I don’t purchase that many things I see on here.

  • Bought and then cancelled the Roborock Dyad deal around Black Friday after reading the comments

  • Really only if it was Amazon because easy free returns

Hell yeah I read the comments first… everyone should. A lot of people will tell you wants wrong with the deal, offer a cheaper store or alternative and then not bother to neg the deal.

People need to not be afraid to use the neg button to let other people know if there are issues with the deal, the store, the company, the product or if it is cheaper elsewhere… then we would t need to have to sift through 3 pages of comments just to find out it’s a shit deal.

    Slow learner then?

  • Only 3 cancelled orders in my wall of shame from Amazon. this, this (wasn't very popular, but saw the negative comment afterwards) and a random brand SSD which didn't have as good read/write as what I thought it did after reading the specs.

    Buy first think later.

  • Opened Newspaper, blinded by the largest advertiser.
Watched SBS and there again same advertiser.
Listened to AM and som FM stations. Same screaming advertiser.

Walked in and paid 20% above retail.
Took to job site, found product had a manufacturing falult, unable to use.
Back to store, waited 65 mins to be told that they offer no warranty on low cost products.
Made written complaint to Office of Fair Trade. Received a generic letter to ring their number, chick answered was abusive and told me to dump the product.

Oh Gerry we all want to get all computer stuff from you….
