Anyone know if the Bourke st one in melbourne is still open? Just want to get an e-drum kit

    • +1

Yeh it's still opened just went today but barely any stock left.

    Honestly, don't bother in Brisbane.
Between the 2 Brisbane stores i had a list of 23 items i wanted from the website, both stores had 0 of them.

If you want a guitar that happens to be in stock on the floor, then yeah there are some a little cheaper than other places, that's about it though.

Also to note "No returns or exchanges" in the small text of the ad. hmmmmmmm…

      What about pianos and keyboards?
I might go have a look-see after uni tomorrow.

I was in at Bourke St yesterday to guy a gig bag for a guitar. Stock is going rapidly, with most items at least 40% off and lots of items sold out - so be quick! Don't expect happy sales people.

The guys in Gawler Place, Adelaide are putting on brave faces and still smiling.

There are definitely some good buys there, but don't expect to get anything specific. I bought a nice 2x12 cab, stocked up on strings and bought some spare leads for <$350 so I'm happy.

Do they have e-drumkits in stock?

  • +4

with 40-70% off we may be looking at internet prices

    • +2

      harsh but probably correct

Just a heads up, I placed an order through their website a week ago only to get an email overnight saying it can't be facilitated and I need to visit a store to purchase the product.

  • Do they have sheet music for Another One Bites the Dust?

    • +2

FYI sheet music is 70% off.

      • +1

I better go and stock up.

  • +2

Their prices are 40-70% higher than elsewhere anyway, plus this store says no returns.

I was in the Sydney Pitt St store, not a lot of choice. They had a lot of Shechter guitars, a few ibanez but not a lot else. There were a couple of Orange amps, a couple of Marshalls and most were some other brand I forget the name of. Overall not a lot to get excited about.

I wouldn't mind one of the stools they have for people when they're trying out a guitar. Are they selling the furniture yet?

    • +1

Yes, they are selling everything, even the air conditioners. At the Adelaide store, they sold the desk that was used for displaying studio equipment. Such a huge space-age desk with crazy angles, but it was $700…

    any digital pianos in Brisbane?
Tried the valley store and they're all out.

    • +1

Digital pianos were actually sold out early. I got a Casio piano a couple of weeks ago, The guy in Music express Garden City priced matched ebay prices so I just bought it from him.

Tried calling the perth store like 2 weeks ago and was disappointed all the digital pianos were sold out :( is there any other store in Perth that sells good price digital pianos?

  • +1

Bit ot but since this deal has sold out of digital pianos I was looking around for alternatives and come across the Korg Micropiano.

small keys should make it easy for the little ones to play too.

not sure if it's an expensive toy or a cheap piano :)

Ballarat = Empty. Was in the market for a good acoustic too.

I've been waiting for them to discount their audio interfaces, but they seem to only have the minimum % off and still they're more expensive than online stores. You'd think they'd be wanting to get rid of everything..

  • +1

I think they still got lots of stock of sheet music in Blackburn vic store.

I've just been to their Bourke St store today at lunch time. pretty much all guitars are gone except the schecter line. I picked up some guitar cables though.
sad for the staff to loose their jobs but have to say I dont have much sympathy for the business. Their prices are so high, even with their closing down sales there are still things that are more expensive than AUSTRALIAN online stores. Crazy.
