12v TV for Caravan Recommendations

Trying to do research on 12v TVs for caravans but it certainly doesn’t seem like a huge market.

Looking for 32”, ideally with a modern OS that can be tethered for streaming apps (or cast too) that can also do modern format playback via usb

Everything I can find just looks like generic rebranded junk

Thanks in advance

  • generic junk

Unfortunately most of the more unique items typically are for caravan /camping.. hell even some of the branded stuff from the big companies are still junk

I’m trying to find a 12v or 24v 1200mm fan, not for camping but for alfresco area where I want to keep it all SELV - but no love on anything decent looking.

Sorry bit OT but a Sirocco fan maybe? They are used a lot in caravans.

      • Yeah did see but too small I reckon, caravan or tent okay because small space has surfaces for air to bounce around.

Needing more a standard sized fan or I guess I can just go two smaller fans… the alfresco area is open on all sides so not much to bounce air off

Just use 240v, a 12 or 24v fan in that space will be garbage. 200+ watts is 17+amps on 12v.

  • Kogan and Dick Smith have 12V TVs and monitors.

But you'd be lucky to get one as big as 32" running off 12V. 24", maybe even 27", but 32" ones run off 19.5V. 32" is a big TV in a caravan.

Out of my lane, but can you run a 240V (decent quality) TV off an inverter?
If so , maybe you could justify getting a versatile size inverter for other uses

    • Yes, you can. However, it is claimed by some that caravan TVs are more vibration resistant than regular TVs, no idea if it’s actually true or just marketing.

    • This would be the best way.

    • Don’t pull the pin yet Grandma still may pull through

  • Got a 24" version of this brand…not the world's best but seems to tick your boxes: Englaon 32’’ HD Smart 12V TV Bluetooth Built-in Chromecast

    • Certainly is a brand I’ve been looking at. How’s it going?

      • Can't complain for the money.

  • Why not just use a tablet? Unless internet is an issue while travelling, all tv stations have an app now, and you can buy decent stands that will have it stand up.

    • Not big enough
