OZB 2FA on More than One Phone

I've changed phones over the Christmas period but haven't fully retired my old phone yet.

Is it possible to set up my new phone as an additional authenticator for logging into OZB? (i.e. if I lose my main phone, I still have my old phone that can be used to verify my OzB login?)

    Most auth apps allow cloud syncing. If you don't want to use the cloud you can redo 2FA and scan the new 2FA QR code on both phones at the same time.

    OzBargain gives you 10 one-time backup codes for emergencies.

      Cheers! I disabled 2FA and set it up again scanning the QR code with both phones. Worked like a charm

      Also good to know that there are 10 one time use codes too.

      EDIT: I applied the 'scan QR code with both phones' method for Whirlpool and Yahoo Mail too. For some silly reason, Yahoo Mail won't show my new phone as a valid option for authenticating login, nor let me add it… only has my old phone. And I cannot delete my old phone either. So I've chosen to use an authenticator app instead for verification.

    I use something like Authy for 2FA that allows the keys to be synchronised across multiple devices.

      I have MS Authenticator for my work login so I've been using that to minimise the number of authenticator apps I need to use. Between game launcher apps and banking, there's too many already.

      Or 2FAS for android users that may want an option with a self hosted cloud sync.
      (I use authy but aiming to migrate to 2FAS when I get some motivation)

      Get a password manager that also stores them. Bitwarden, 1password etc

      Happens when I clear my browser cache and cookies. I try to avoid this when possible but occasionally it has to happen to get a website working again.

      For some reason, OZB logs out of my iPhone's browser after a day or so. Very annoying.

      Doesn't happen to any other website.

            @JimB: yeah there is a forum thread somewhere with others complaining of the same issue. It's been an issue for over a year

    Not that I'd log into OZB on a public PC and leave without logging out, but why the security measures for an OBZ account?

        No wonder none of my 5 saved passwords (suggested by my browser) doesn't work.

        I log in via Google these days.
