OnePass Disappointment / Catch Birthday Voucher Promo Code

I subscribed to OnePass for $20 last year via this deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/805292

Till today, I have not used OnePass for a single online purchase. Catch has been super disappointing when it comes to deals. Black Friday and Boxing Day sales were unknown for Catch (maybe they made enough money with people subscribing to OnePass…..even for $20?). I've tried to use my OnePass subscription at Target and Kmart online but the stuff I am looking for is not in stock near me so it still requires that I pay shipping. What's the use of a subscription if I have to pay for shipping even for non bulky items like a tee?

I shop in store at Bunnings, Target and Kmart and scan my Flybuys card to get 5 x points. That's the only use I've found for now but that's a way of getting you in store so you spend more. I've also found that after subscribing to OnePass, I've been receiving very few emails from Catch (not that any of them include any deals anyway). My burner email account gets spammed from Catch at least once a day and sometimes 2 times a day but the OnePass one gets like an email in a fortnight or month. I've check my settings and can't see anything disabled. This year, I haven't even received anything for my birthday from Catch. Previously, I would get $15 off $50 spend or something like that.

Am I the only one regretting subscribing to OnePass?

What did you expect of it when you signed up?

In the past Catch had some good Black Friday and Boxing Day deals. They were even sending out regular promo codes $XX of $XX spend. Who knew all of these would stop after spending $20 on a subscription.

Meanwhile I subscribed for a free trial to onepass with a burner just to get free shipping on a catch sale and then cancelled the trial immediately and still have a month left on it.
I am livin la vida loca.

They are $20 for a reason

    • Guess my expectation exceeded the $20 value 😂

I looked at what I bought from stores covered by OnePass prior to taking up the $20 offer.

It's saved trips into stores. Overall, I'm reasonably happy with it.

    • Glad you've found some use of it.

    yeh it's been pretty crap.

the thing with kmart is that half the stuff you buy is from walking around the store.

I'm actually really annoyed cos you can't use Flybuy points online. I've finally begun cashing in my points for dollars and so i was forced into store anyway. Really stupid

the one thing i bought online from bunnings wasn't eligible for free delivery.

i definitely won't be signing up again unless the $20 membership fee came with a guaranteed $20 off coupon

Just like its name says: The One App to pass!

  • Well, for what it's worth, I have OnePass, Ebay Plus ($10) and I join Amazon Prime a few times a year for free (last year it was for 5 months). In 2023 I purchased through OnePass at Catch (16 times…36 items) slightly more than I did at Ebay or Amazon. I mostly bought clearance specials from Catch. I also used my OnePass at Bunnings and Kmart a few times. It's been well worth the $20 for me.

Use it to get pool salt from Bunnings every month. To me its worth it just for that. I've never used it for Catch, only Bunnings, Kmart and Office Works.

You now get 5x flybuys points when ordering online too I believe, not just in store.

[Edit] I've also shared it with my girlfriend. She can get Kmart and Target delivered to her place for free, so that's a bonus. Bunnings stuff has to go to my house.
