Advice needed - Roller shutters with wifi connection.

More smash and grab break ins in our area.

Cars stopping outside homes, smashing windows facing the street. Rushing into the homes, all within 90 seconds…

We are thinking of installing roller shutters (windows facing the street).

I would like to install the roller shutters that can be controlled from an app.

Going away on a holiday with the shutters down 24/7 is not an option. But if they can be scheduled to go down and open at a scheduled time, that would be great.

Opinions and suggestions (even the funny, stupid, serious, unrelated) are highly appreciated. Thanks guys.

    Most companies that do roller shutters should be able to help you. The most common are roller shutters with Somfy RTS motor. Then you buy a Somfy Connexoon Hub which then makes it all available on your phone. You can then set timers and scenes to do exactly what you want.

    Recently had security roller shutters installed at a business that had multiple breakins. Shutters came with garage door style remotes, you can get smart home RF transmitters that could be paired to the shutter controller like any other automatic garage door.

    I’d imagine most brands would have an app controlled controller. Have you contacted your local suppliers?

    I'm thinking same but don't know anyone that has had shutters installed. Obviously want a reliable brand.

      I had someone that came to give me a price.

      Wifi can schedule the roller shutters to open in the morning at a certain time and to close in the evening at a scheduled time.

      Perfect when going on holidays.
