Good deal for those who prefer smaller cables , i found the 2m ones too long for around the TV and desk.

Not bad with PD3.1. With everything starting to be more USB-C these days, this might be a good investment.

I'm now looking for good shorter cable (~25cm) for battery packs.

    • Will have to google now to see how PD3.1 is different or better/improved to the PD3.0 or similar to the

      USB 3.0/3.1 Gen1/2 confusions.

Good idea… any brands you have your eye on?

I'm slowly replacing older devices (micro USB power bank for ex) with USB C ones.

      • You're a nice person still buying gifts for your ex……

        • +1

Haha, I dunno, it is micro USB 🤣

  • What type of adapter would you suggest to connect these to the wall sockets?

      Anker

Yes, these cheap cables are mainly for charging only.

Would buying this cable help ?

  • cheers got some

  • How do these stack up quality wise? I've had Ugreen for about 18months (2m long) USB-C that died on me recently. Otherwise have been quality cables, but a bit more expensive. Are these comparable?

    • How did it die? Curious.

      • +1

Dont know. It was my bedside charger cable - used for phone as main home charger and laptop on occasion. Wasnt moved around a lot - so not sure why it died - tried the cable in two different chargers and worked in neither - put a new cable in and voila!

    • Also wondering the same. Do these deliver the rated power and how much resistance they add at higher currents.

    • I heard Baseus and Ugreen are better than Anker these days. Not sure about Silkland but the brand seems popular enough and a couple of ultra HD cables of this brand I bought from Amazon are working fine. I also heard Cable Matters is very good as well.

  • Any quality USBA to USBC cable? Just need 1.

God dam laptop only has USBC, and my 4tb is in USBA lol

Are you sure your HDD has USB-A? That's very unusual. It's a peripheral device, they usually have USB-B (most likely micro-B).

      • Yeah, all my external portable are USBa?

        My 2tb and my 4tb.

I thought about just buying a SSD portable for my new laptop, but I got a spare 4TB, I'd still like to use it for storage but it's a USBa, like plugs into my TV and PS5.

        • I realize now you're talking about the end that goes into the PC. Yes, that will be USB-A, but its easy to switch it out for a USB-C, as long it still has the right end that goes into the HDD (that will be USB-B, like I mentioned above).

But doesn't matter now, because you've deleted your account.

  • Must resist
