if the name 'ashampoo' isn't enough of a deterrent then perhaps considering the uselessness of most pc optimiser/cleaning' software is. they're primarily either redundant, snake oil, or actively harmful.

a disk cleanup tool is built-in to windows. just use that.

Yep. Ozbargain is becoming a mess of shitty apps that people get excited about because it’s “free” but they don’t actually stop and think if you should actually install the program free or otherwise.

        a-sham-poo

I remember getting their lifetime PDF pro (or whatever it's called that lets you edit PDF). paid $30 and they continued to spam me everytime I opened the app to buy other products. the ads don't stop.

    • The Disk Cleanup tool works well for cleaning Windows junk, but can't clean junk from third party apps. Some third party cleaning tool can clean junk from many different apps.

  • No need for this.

    What about free Aconditioner?

  • Ashampoo, now that's a throwback

  • Windows Defender is already free.

    • But Windows Defender, or Microsoft Defender as it has been called for some time, is an antivirus. This isn't.

  • Give me your email address so I can spam you.

While I've never liked this much, it is safe to use and it's highly unlikely it would ever cause issues.
