  • Do these guys fly the Max 8 or 9?

Useful if you want status with premium Skyteam airlines like Aeroflot or Xiamen Air lol. I am being a bit facetious as there's AF and Delta but Star Alliance it is not.

I probably would have done it for giggles until I read the part about providing transaction records and having 3 months to fly GA to extend it. If you had a GA flight booked and QF status, why not.

    • Match with Kenya Astante they’re part of Skyteam and there’s is twelve months.

My points expired last month. I wonder if they will be nice enough and add it back if I contact them? Yes ofc it’s my fault.

Declined my CLPO match because it isnt Platinum. Also in AFF theres issues of Platinum One members being denied being matched.

Does Garuda actually have access to the Qantas Membership system.
I.e if you can creatively photoshop say an expired card could you…

    • +1

You could, but that is basically committing fraud for airline status… You need to weigh up the risk reward yourself.

      • However what really would the penalty be
Judge: i send thee to jail for unfairly gaining gold status

        • Good luck - most airlines will just take your membership card, GA want transaction records showing all your flights. Is it worth it to fake up a year of flights for 3 months of status?

        • The probability of you getting caught is very small. The probability the airline will get lawyers involved is even smaller. But its not zero.

Depending on your job, having a fraud charge might mean the end of your career.

ive done that before, when Etihad was doing a match

    • +1

This time you need to fake your statement too and status has to be earned through flying etc
      Few more hoops than normal

Is GIA even allowed to fly in Australian airspace?
