Like any tent minus the top cover. So meh. Any serious camper won't lug an extra item when a good tent gives you both options.

It does come with a removable waterproof fly also.

      • Not sure if it's a proper fly.
By the images it looks more like covers that go on each side of the tent.
They would keep out the sun, but there is nothing over the peak of the tent so any rain falling on the top would dribble down between the external cover and the internal mesh layer (and then into the tent - because, mesh).

At least that's what it seems like from the photos.

I think this is more of a beach shelter type tent, not an actual camping one.

        • Actually, I stand corrected - it seems like there are both individual covers like I described above as well as a fly. There are different images showing each of these covering options.

        • Sounds and Looks ( from photos ) you would be correct.

Stongish wind might also loosen top flaps with velcro also.

  • perfect for kids doing loungeroom or deck camping

  • Dimensions "160 x 160 x 138".
So anyone over about 5' tall can't lie down properly?
If the dimensions are accurate then this is literally a kid's toy.

In one of the pictures it shows dimensions as 210cm x 210cm x130cm tall, so think that would be the

correct measurements. Maybe that's why it's getting sold out on clearance so low price as many people

see the 160cm x 160cm and only for kids or really short people?

      • +1

        Well spotted.
You are probably correct. People might take the risk for the low price and hope it's big enough for adults - but would otherwise be unwilling to pay the normal price.

  • I can't really fathom a use for this. It's absolutely tiny so would not be used as an actual tent and there are far better options available for the beach. The fact they call it a 2-3 person tent with an RRP of $300 is utterly mind boggling.

So much council land that isn't being utilised, parks, nature strips, median strips, etc
