Enterprise 3 Inflatable Air Tent $999.99 (RRP $3,499.99) Delivered @ Dwights Outdoors

71

Very good deal for those who are looking for an easy setup tent for families. The included pump is the only attachment required to help inflate. With a twist of the valve is all that is required to deflate. Only problem is its too big, but nothing out there competes against this for price/value.
Hope this helps someone.
I ordered it today delivery is included and delivery time is scheduled for up to 15 business days. (Seems to be dispatched from NZ)

  • How is this inflatable?
Watched the video and nothing inflatable about it

    • The pump that is included helps inflate the support pillars

        inflate the support pillars

        😲

        • LOL N.B. don't inflate if strong wind present!
          Note taken thanks!

      • +1

Aha, i was thinking it was similiar to the ones you see on facebook ads, fully inflatable

      Is this the NCC-1701C?

      • +2

        I believe it is…

        • Got a neg for this?
Oh wow you have some die hard fans.

  • Is this nearly what's in the Opus camper trailer

  • +3

This is going to appear in facebook marketplace. Something like "2 rooms for rent".

    • :( That would really be sad.
i genuinely hope that whoever buys this benefits from it.

  • +2

Who is paying $3500 for this in the first place?
This will be the regular price with some poetic license applied.

    • Sydney a house 3.5m so this is a bargain even at 3500

      • $250 pw rent. Easy payback period

  • After a very quick look, it seems only Dwights sell this model. So as nobody should ever really pay any attention to any RRP and having never heard of this brand, I'm struggling to be sure this is actually a deal.

  • Finally an enterprise grade tent, now corporate can stop buying all the hobbyist versions.

  • Suspiciously large discount, it's very doubtful anyone ever paid $3500 for this.

    • +1

I also agree with the discount seeming a bit dodge, but i would say around 2k would be the standard price
      Example but still smaller https://www.bcf.com.au/p/dometic-santorini-4x8-tc-air-tent/6…
If you look at their other tents they are still more expensive despite being smaller

      • +1

Agree, have been looking at many different air tents and this deal seems a very good price given the size and specs, not so much at $3500 but the biggest zempire ones sit around that $3k+ too.

For another comparison oztent air tent is $1600 on sale from $2400 at anaconda, it's a touch smaller and imo less family friendly layout than the dwights. Sadly im in WA so doubtful they will ship at all but have asked for a shipping quote even if it probably kills the deal a bit.

  • Just watched the video in the link. You gotta pump and inflate each valve separately. What a pain.
I'll be quicker to stick tent poles together and put the tent up.

    • +1

not having to deal with poles altogether is a good enough reason to consider this tbh

      • -1

Have you not seen instant-up tents before? With pre-connected telescopic poles?

        • +2

I own one. I was more so referring to giant family size tents that have giant family sized poles. Single cabin tents are not an issue.

        • +1

Big difference between a 2 person dome tent that you linked and a 3 room family sized one in this deal.

    • I look forward to the day tents like this are instant-up and self-groundpegging

    • i was honestly contemplating the coleman 8 person for $499 at anaconda.. but decided that this is actually more practical. for a one person assembly i feel this would be easier. as we have very little kids one to supervise and one to set up the tent. i could be wrong and will let everyone know my feedback once we go on a trip in early april.

  • These are a pointless gimmick.

A good quality 'instant up' tent would be much faster to put up, doesn't lose structural integrity over time (have you known anything inflatable to not lose air over time?), and can hold up to a good wind.

    • +1

for larger tents, these are way easier and quicker than instant up tents to setup. also poles break in high winds, good quality air tents don't. i own a coleman instant up and a zempire inflatable tent, and while the latter has its flaws its faster to setup than the instant and holds up better in winds

    • +1

Is this from actual learned experience with air tents? The concept always did my head in, but they've been a thing for years now and by this point are a pretty mature product. The air columns are huge and thick, and when correctly pegged down I'd honestly have way more faith in them than fibreglass poles. And if you are in such crazy winds, one gust big enough to snap a pole and your whole trip is pretty much ruined.

Pros and cons for both. I don't agree on the neg.

    • +1

Most instant up tents are one non-replaceable plastic component away from crashing to the ground, at least this inflatable ones can be patched.

I'm not a fan of either really, but if I was getting one of those options I'd possibly lean towards inflatable.

    • Have you read the comments linked above. most people are saying the opposite.

  • Lol, the RRP $3499.99 is about 1000 x more inflated than the "inflatable" tent.

  • +1

perfect since house prices are fcked

    • +1

I saw a house in strathfield west of sydney sell for over 8.6million….
      I agree.

      • +1

Damn, thats 10 min away from me

  • 8 people, 51kg….

  • With the amount of tie-downs on this tent, its like a expert-level obstacle course.

The Zempire tents while unfortunately more expensive, are inifinitely more practical. If you only camp a few times a year.. this is good value but otherwise I'd be holding off and getting something that improves your quality of life if camping often.

This is the zempire equivalent. It is currently at 5 times more expensive… When compared to sale price .. I guess sif both not on sale.. the comparison is closer. But not sure who would spend 5k vs 1k

  • Tent arrived today… 6 business days.. not bad at all…. its freaking massive and heavy lol, now im worried if it will fit in the boot.
