Yawn is an iOS app that has a library of premium audio content to help you fall asleep. The app will help you unwind and relax with soothing sleep sounds, classic audiobooks and calming music that really works. There is also a Sleep Timer feature so you can set the timer and drift off to sleep without worrying about turning off the sounds during the night.

I built this app for my wife, it's still very new and far from perfect but I am doing my best and so far the feedback has been really good! She helps select the sleep sounds, colour noises and calming music for the app so hopefully you guys enjoy it :)

How to get free Lifetime Yawn Premium:

  1. Open app
  2. Go through onboarding (it’ll take you less than 20 seconds)
  3. There will be a paywall that will pop up (it will say "Understand your sleep better") and have an image in the center of the paywall popup
  4. Double tap on the center image
  5. A hidden offer that says "Get Yawn free" button will appear, tap on it
  6. Enjoy your Lifetime membership to Yawn Premium for Free

    I was willing to give it a go but I only got offered a 7 day free trial so deleted. All the best to those that got the lifetime.

      Hi @barghunt1, the offer is still live - maybe uninstall and try again, once you see the paywall pop up it will show an image in the center with audiobooks that we have, you can double tap that to reveal the hidden offer :)

          Thanks for the well wishes, I just checked on 2 devices and it absolutely is still live and working.

          Try this if you are still having issues:

          If you have passed the paywall on accident without double tapping, close the app completely (swipe up and close it), then on reopen it should show you the paywall and you can double tap the image to reveal the hidden lifetime discount.

    Loop function on bottom right corner doesn't seem to work… I've tried both with and without the 1 and both don't loop. I've even tried it with the timer with no success?

      Great pickup Goldilocks, I think I may have broken the loop button on tracks when I put in the playlist feature. When I fix this I will also make that loop button larger similar to the timer button so it is much easier to see for people. Thanks for bearing with me while I work out the kinks!

    There use to be an iOS app called Sleep Up that used binaural frequencies to help get to sleep. It's the only app I found that helps but no longer supported and removed from the app store. I still have a copy on an old iphone. But it was basically different pulses of sounds in each ear that progressively got lower, with some white noise pulsing as well. If you were able to add something like that it would be pretty cool.

    Hey, I double-tapped the image and tapped the hidden lifetime discount. Was it normal to activate a purchase where it required my face ID?

      Hi CakeKing, the lifetime free is via In App Purchase throuh Apple so if you have Face ID setup rather than password then it would absolutely be normal. The IAP is 100% free though and you will not see a charge on your account for it. Enjoy Yawn! :)

    Loaded checked only option was the 7 day trial or $49.99 special on the yearly $100. I then deleted and reinstalled and got the same options, what am I missing? Looks like a great app, thanks Jason

    I love this! I just tried to download it on my old ipad but it's not supported for my software (12.5.7)

    Looks like there is a minor bug. Even though i'm premium the premium content still has a padlock showing. For example Alice In Wonderland shows chapter 1 with no padlock, but chapters 2,3,4 do. They do play though.

    My kids love listening to stories whilst nodding off, would be great to get more child friendly content.

    Final thoughts for the backlog would be to allow community content to be added, this might help build content for you more quickly.

      Good pickup and yes that is a bug - I will get to that in the next update. Still working out the kinks haha.

      I have been thinking of adding in a section called Yawn KIDS - with either a playlist or an entire section of the app that has content for kids (I have been eyeing off adding in Winnie the Pooh as an audiobook which would fit perfectly) - can you tell me how you would use this with your kids? do you play it outloud on the phone? or headphones?

      I really love the idea of allowing community content to be added to Yawn, how would you like this to work?

        I'd have to give the community content more thought. I guess the issue you'll have is where the content is stored, if its to be shareable it'll need to be hosted somewhere. you'd have to consider copyright issues here too. might be hard??

        other ideas :
        - be able to bookmark audio as favorites for quick find or show recently played. will come in handy with more content being made available
        - add an option for people to stream live guided meditation sessions or music

    Thanks for this app! I used it last night and I have a couple comments:
    1. is it possible to have the sounds on loop especially if the timer is set? for instance the river one is like 10 minutes long, but I haven't fallen asleep yet, and I set the timer to 1 hour. it would be good if it just played in a loop.
    2. the screen remains on in the app. it would be good if it synced to the screen auto on settings.

        Thank you! Regarding point 2 - usually my phone screen lock and the screen is black after 20seconds (I keep it in low power mode). But using the app, the screen stays on. Even after the sound has ended.

    I currently use the app BetterSleep - one of the best ways to tackle sleep issues. My feedback to you is to look up this app and get inspiration for additional features.
