Is maccas purposely making these taste awful to upsell its premium range? The quality of cheeseburgers have really dipped over the last decade. They used to be quite succulent.

    • Always fond of the Macca's cheeseburger.

Until I had one last week for the first time in 6 months… absolute trash.

Is it possible they bought a bad herd?

    • +3

They started cooking the onions and putting it under the patty. Imagine having such a recognisable brand which is so popular around the world because it almost doesn’t matter where you are, you know what you’re buying. Imagine having that and thinking, “we should change it for no reason”
I guarantee you some soulless marketing douche is hinging his career on that too

      • This is why I prefer the junior whoppers from HJ. The onions are wholly sliced bread is not stale.

      • Can barely tell there's onion on it they are so stingy with it, it's hilarious.

      • Cooking onions on a Cheesy? They're not still using the small onion that comes in a bucket and just gets chucked on?

    • As bad as the normal CB's are, the chicken 'n' cheese are orders of magnitude worse, tried one a few months ago and it was bitter as hell

Bet it wasn't as succulent as a chinese meal.

Get your hands off my cheeseburger!

    • Yeah, i've been saying it for a few years now, the meat just doesn't have that 'oomph' to it any more. Like it's grinded up spare parts (hey, it works in a sausage, i'm not knocking it) with none of the good fatty parts.

      And it's dry.

I just put on 2 kgs reading this deal.

    • It adds up. A cheeky Maccas meal delivered just one last time turned into like hundreds of last times over the last two years for me. Gotten fat AF. Should have ordered salad instead of fries…

I just airfry everything now, cutting out the cooking oils kept to a minimum means I can still eat shit, but shit without the excess cooking oils.
Tegel is a personal fav of mine, only have 8KGs left so I am running low, think of Mad Max and his low fuel dramas.

I remember the good ole days of the $1 jnr burger aka burger and how I would order 20.
I can barely eat 2 Big Macs now without feeling like shit, the jnrs though, they're something special.

        • 1 big mac gives me that feeling. The sauce is so feral.

          • @Bdawg: Exactly this, if it was any other sauce, you would think it's a Big Sauce, not MAC

$8.95 is a lot of loose change.

    • +5

      It’s the “I found a wallet” range

    • +3

Is $9 now considered loose change?

  • You don't get the bonus points on these offers btw since they stay in your account

    • wym ?

      • when you activate the bonus points deals in the rewards section, this offer does not trigger it and the bonus points deal is still there

Basically a medium cheeseburger meal with a chicken N cheese burger for $8.95 A rubbish deal tbh

    • -4

No what it is, is 2 burgers of your choice of those 2, medium chips and medium drink.
Bought separately would cost a ton more.
If you need more food than this, you're piggy piggy.

  • +1

I'd rather get a pork roll and a bottle of water for cheaper

    • Not everyone likes Spanish food.

      • +6

Think he meant a banh mi

    • +3

Where can you buy a pork roll and a bottle of water for less than $8.95?

      • +1

Why would you buy a bottle of water?

      • right? they run into double digits in my vicinity

    • where are those cheap banh mi ?

  • Can we buy this deal without App ?
