Hey Oz Bargain Community,

Happy New Year (yes I know it's 18 Jan not 1 Jan today, but I still wanted to say it), I hope everyone's had a wonderful start to 2024!

First coffee deal of the year for us. I'll keep this one short and sweet for you :)

We're offering you a 40% discount off our much loved Colombia Cauca Single Origin and our recently launched Nicaragua Bridazul Single Origin:

1) Colombia Cauca Single Origin, only $15.59 per 500g (usually $25.99 per 500g), and $27.59 per 1kg (usually $45.98 per 1kg)

2) NOW SOLD OUT Nicaragua Bridazul Single Origin, only $27.59 per 1kg (usually $45.98 per 1kg)

Deal valid for orders placed until 23/01/2024, unless sold out before. Dispatch can happen for you as near as Monday and as far as the second last Thursday in March (21/03/24). Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

Some helpful info:

  • You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting
  • One dispatch per order
  • 500g bag packaging (it's resealable) is also available for orders larger than 500g this is an extra $3.60 per kg including the discount (normally $6 extra per kg) to cover the extra bag/s, label/s and time it takes to pack
  • Complimentary gift notes can be submitted via a reply message to your order confirmation email
  • The largest bag size we use is 1kg and it has a zip (it's resealable), for example if you order 4kg with 1kg packaging you will receive 4 x 1kg bags, you will not receive a single huge 4kg bag.

Following the success of our recent trials of new shipping rates, we've decided to extend these for this deal too :)
FREE SHIPPING for orders over $69. We recommend freezing any excess bags purchased to quality for free shipping, without compromising on enjoying fresh coffee.

  • $6.99 No Delivery Company Preference Flat Rate Shipping (No Parcel Locker/PO Box/Collect)
  • $7.99 Courier's Please Flat Rate Shipping (No Parcel Locker/PO Box/Collect)

  • Time to try some Nicaragua! I love your Thank You blend - I hope you guys offer it again some time :)

    • +2

Morning @Berick such a terrific compliment is a wonderful way to kick off the comments, thank you so much for another order (terrific choice, I mean I think they're all terrific choices, but the Nicaragua is an extra special gem… I've just been invited to visit the farm and if I can possibly make the trip I absolute will go and bring some of their coffee with me to see if they enjoy how I roast the coffee they grow) and sharing that outstanding feedback!!!

I'm wrapped to know how much you enjoyed our Thank You blend, it's a keeper based on the feedback we've received. For the foreseeable future it's going to remain available on our site as an ongoing offering. At the moment it's available at regular price, time will tell if it's featured again in future deal :)

      • Oh I didn't notice that you still have the Thank You blend for sale - will be sure to order it again! Hopefully you get to make that trip 👍

        • +1

          Fantastic to hear!

I hope so too, fingers crossed, thanks @Berick :)

  • Happy new year! I've been waiting for a new deal to come through!

Happy New Year @Scalding Coffee Cup love that you've created a logo to perfectly match your used name!!!

Appreciate your patience, fingers crossed this deal is a winner for you :)

    Brazil SO deal please :)

Need to re-stock and my last delayed dispatch from the last deal is going out soon!

    • +1

Nice planning ahead skills @Blu delayed dispatch saves the day again, as we don't want you running out of the good stuff!

No promises, but request duly noted :)

Which one of those is better with milk as a flat white?

    • +1

Hey @flashback appreciate you reaching out to check!

Both of these ones are delicious for both black and white/milk based coffees. Our Colombia will be more chocolatey than our Nicaragua which will be notably fruitier. If you enjoy trying different types of coffee flavours then both should be winners. If you'd go to a cafe and order a flat white without asking what bean options they have (which of course is perfectly fine) then I'd say our Colombia Cauca is your best bet :)

  • I went to order the Colombian and it shows up as $31?

    • +1

      Change to 1kg bags instead of 2 x 500g

      • +1

        Thank you sir, ordering now

        • +1

Superspeed perfect answer assist skills @bemybubble much appreciated!

Thank you so much for placing your first order with us @fadeinthemix it truly means a lot :)

@LimeBlueCoffee: I think he deserves 2 complimentary timtam!

            • +1

@chiesel21: No arguments from me @chiesel21 great idea!

@bemybubble if you want a well deserved Tim Tam party to happen with your coffee party please send me a DM :)

              • @LimeBlueCoffee: I’m all about the blood sugar spike baby

                • @bemybubble: haha that sounds like something I should start seeing popping up on bumper stickers all over town :)

  • Actually OP - is there a way your website can default to 1kg bags instead of the 2x500g?

Thought i'd throw that into the suggestion can…!

    • +1

Hey @bemybubble appreciate the suggesting, constructive feedback it always welcomed with open arms!

We can default to 1kg packaging, however this creates a bit of a spanner in the works when someone selects 500g as the quantity. As we don't offer 500g of coffee packed into a 1kg bag, if we default to 1kg packaging and someone selects 500g as the quantity then a message will pop up saying "unavailable."

      • Gotcha - fair call.

        • :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: easy tech fix, min(order qty, 1kg) as default

            • @truebunny: Hey @truebunny appreciate the input, however we'd have to eliminate the option to add a single 500g to an order…so I'll keep my thinking cap on to see if there's another way around it. In the meantime I don't think the current set up will cause too many issues for people based on historical feedback, as customer can instantly change to 1kg packing with the click of a button and see pricing change as soon as they click for transparency before they checkout :)

  • Great timing.
    Done!

    • Fantastic, music to my ears, thank you so much!!!

  • Nicaragua ordered, 1kg delayed dispatch… Checking my notes, I have a kg being dispatched out today, from a previous order.

    • Wonderful, thank you so much for another terrific order @Spending2Much !!!

Love your planning ahead skills :)

  • Love the deals. Any reason why the Nicaragua is only available as a minimum 1kg order? I can't drink that much coffee!

    • Hey @blocky27 appreciate the double check!

We have relatively limited availability of our Nicaragua, as such we've limited the amount of SKUs to prevent us overselling what we have available. Completely appreciate what you're saying, perhaps you could order 1kg in 500g bags AKA 2x500g and either freeze a bag to extend the freshness or split the order with a neighbour, friend, family member or colleague :)

  • Hmmm had an issue with the dispatch date calendar not popping up in the shopping cart so I couldn't proceed to check out. Probably a cache issue as switching from Chrome to Edge resolved it.

    • +1

Hey @Br0d0 hmm you're right that the cache if likely the cause or if you have pop up blockers enabled. If you don't want to clear the cache a quick workaround is just open an incognito window in Chrome :)

Thank you so much for the order, much appreciated :)

  • Nicaragua showing as Beans only? No StoveTop grind?

    • Hey @donniedarko3000 appreciate the check in, never hurts to ask!

There's relatively limed availability of our Nicaragua, as such we've limited the amount of SKUs to ensure we don't oversell what's available. There's pre-ground options available for our Colombia Cauca :)

      • All good, I'll probably hang out for Brazilian SO….your Peru SO was fantastic, I think one of my favs yet

        • Sure thing @donniedarko3000 it's wonderful to hear how much you enjoy our Peru SO!!!

I think our Colombia may be a winner for you as it's similar to our Peru, but you'll notice it's a bit fruitier and has a higher acidity kick :)

  • Has anyone tried this brand before? Whats the feedback like?

    • +12

the seller is legit good guy and great coffee

    • +6

Probably the pick of the regularly-advertised roasting deals, for mine.

Coffee is always of excellent quality, roasted to order, delayed dispatch so you can time the arrival of beans according to what you currently have on hand, AND Tom makes himself readily available (around roasting beans, of course) to resolve any issues - a courier went AWOL with my order a couple of years ago, and he went above and beyond to resolve the issue.

      10/10 - I always buy again.

      • +1

        Thanks for the feedback guys

    • +5

This is my favorite coffee roaster that I've tried in Australia.

The beans themselves are fantastic and their service is incredible. I had a courier issue in the past, and like the other commenter mentioned, Tom went above and beyond to help.

I love their decaf (tastes just as good as caffeinated) and Nicaragua beans.

      • Thanks mate

  • +1

I'm very much enjoying the Thank You blend from the last deal.

    • Woohoo absolute music to my ears @flagsarefun thank you so much for sharing such terrific feedback!!!

  • Do you ever sell green beans for home roasting?

    • +1

Hey @ZirconiumZephyr never hurts to ask!

Our core focus is selling our freshly roasted coffee. Of course we could accommodate your request. However, you'd have to send us an email with the request and for full transparency we wouldn't change the price to account for mass loss (10-20% depending on how you roast) during your roasting. To further clarify, whether you ordered 1kg of roasted or 1kg of green coffee the price would be the same, so unless you only want to drink coffee you've roasted yourself, it will cost you less to order roasted coffee off us as opposed to green (unroasted) coffee :)

  • I am trying out plunger coffee and the Aldi Columbia beans I bought are weak af. Will these blends work well?

    • Hey @MrMaestro appreciate the double check!

Our coffee extra very well when brewing a Plunger coffee, whether they'll suit your personal flavour preference is subjective, so all I can guarantee is that we'll use high quality beans and dispatch your order super fresh :)

  • Been waiting for a deal!

    • Fingers crossed it's been worth the wait for you @sauce2k :)

  • +2

    Genuinely a good deal

    Not just another fortnightly special

    Best deal:

1kg of Colombia Cauca in 1kg bag
1kg of Nicaragua Bridazul in 1kg bag
    500g of Colombia Cauca
    $70.77 with free shipping

    • Hey @s3n wrapped to know this deal's a real winner for you!!!

Sincerely appreciate your terrific vote of confidence, love your combo ordering skills, thank you so much :)

  • Happy new year team! Almost out of the excellent Thank You blend, just placed an order for the Nicaragua - been really enjoying fruitier beans for lattes lately, tried a few that delivered very strong notes of peach and passionfruit previously, which were a lot of fun.

    • +1

Hey @poppingtags WOW I'm wrapped to know how much you've been enjoying our coffees, especially our Thank You blend, sincerely appreciate your outstanding vote of confidence!

Thank you so much for another fantastic order, I have a hunch you'll absolutely love our Nicaragua Single Origin :)

  • Have enjoyed the Colombia Cauca from previous deals. My Thankyou blend probably arrives tomorrow so i guess i need to start planning for the next bag, good timing

    • Fantastic to hear @Matt P our Cauca is a winner for you!

Nice planning ahead skills, as you never want to run out of the good stuff. Fingers crossed you thoroughly enjoy our Thank You blend when it arrives :)

  • Hi @LimeBlueCoffee - Do you have beans that are espresso machine ready? I don't have a coffee grinder but would love to try your product!

    • +1

There is a dropdown menu to choose which grind you'd like on the product page :)

      • +1

Wow! Just tried that now and it worked! For some reason, it wasn't showing up a while ago. Thanks for your help!!!

        • Does it impact product quality/freshness if you get it pre-ground?

          • @Duckie2hh: I am a regular AirJo customer who orders my coffee with different dispatch dates to ensure freshness. But when I have stock I don't use for more than a month, I just put it in the freezer! I don't know about others' experience, but I'm pretty happy quality-wise.

            • +1

@Lucioboi: I think they mean having it pre-ground as opposed to grinding it before extraction. The answer is that it definitely can affect the quality of the cup, especially given that the grind size the seller chooses can't be dialled into everyone's different coffee machines, let alone the accounting for how the bean ages. That said, while not ideal - you can still usually get a decent cup of coffee from an espresso pre-grind. Would highly recommend a grinder though, I was surprised at just how much of an effect it had on my cup.

              • @poppingtags: Wow that's pretty interesting. Thanks for pointing that out :)

        • hmm that's strange @Lucioboi wouldn't be the first time tech acts in a weird way, if there's ever another glitch like that please feel welcome to send us a screenshot and we'll jump into resolution mode for you ASAP!

Glad it worked for you in the end, thank you so much for your order, fingers crossed you love our coffee :)

      • @Lucioboi @Lolakret is spot on!

Perfect answer assist, sincerely appreciated :)

  • Happy New Year! Which grind is best for cold drip?

    • Hey @Lolakret glad you've reached out to check, better safe than sorry!

If your Cold Brew has a metal filter then our Plunger grind should be the winner for you. If your cold brewer has a paper filter then go for either our Plunger or Pour Over grind, our Pour Over grind will result in a stronger coffee as it's a finer grind size :)

      • Excellent! Thank you for the reply :)

        • :)

  • I just got my thank you blend yesterday and I totally agree with other comments, absolutely fantastic very tasty, a great start to the new year. Looking forward to ordering what's currently on special too!

    • +1

WOW @CrazyPlant what a wonderful vote of confidence, absolute music to my ears to know how much you've been enjoying our delicious (of course an unbiased descriptor from me) Thank You blend!!!

Thank you so much for another fantastic order, fingers crossed you love this order as much or even more than your recent Lime Blue Coffee order :)

  • Thanks OP!

Tried the Colombian last time which is nice, got 1 x Colombian & 1 x Nicaraguan :)

    • Hey @starspawn it's terrific to know you enjoyed our Colombia SO and I love that you've not only come back for more, but also decided a new coffee of ours as well :)

Thank you so much for another fantastic order, it's truly appreciated!

  • Thanks guys. Just put in my order for a delayed delivery.

Today is my delayed delivery date for the previous promo so it's perfect timing. Coffee for the next few months sorted.

    Love your work!

    • +1

Fantastic to hear @Chinerama love when timing lines up perfectly!

Thank you so much for another terrific order, very nice planning ahead skills. Wrapped to know we're in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there :)

  • How long can they last frozen?

  • @LimeBlueCoffee this will be my first order and I'm looking forward to it.

If I freeze the beans is there a way that you suggest?

Normally I just get a sandwich bag and freeze the beans in that.

    • So we can't freeze it in the packaging provided?

      • I'm not sure tbh. I haven't previously

    • +1

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uT5_IWWb00

      portion coffee
      seal air tight
      freeze
      defrost whilst sealed before use
      grind

      • -1

        I don't defrost, works fine

        • rationale for defrosting in the airtight bag is to reduce condensation and moisture on the beans itself, i haven't personally tried grinding before defrosting to know if there is a noticeable difference in taste etc

  • OP, what would you recommend from the on-sale beans for grinding at home for an aeropress? Drinking with milk, I enjoy fruity / berry / biscuit flavours if that helps 😊

    • Hey @zfind appreciate the question and super helpful details!

I believe you'd enjoy both, but if I had to pick a single winner for you it'd be our Colombia Cauca :)

      • Thanks for the reply LimeBlue!

        • :)

  • +1

great small business, only coffee business in australia that ships with a timtam biscuit

    • +1

Woohoo @zanzir thank you so much for your terrific vote of confidence, it's truly appreciated :)

Fantastic to hear our complimentary Tim Tam is a winner for you!

  • Any sales coming up for the decaf? Looks interesting.

    • Hey @frugalftw very glad our Decaf has caught your attention!

We tend to focus on one deal at a time, so I honestly don't currently know when our next Decaf deal will be. Perhaps you could get a small bag now at regular price, that way whenever the deal launches you'll already know if you enjoy it and then can make the most of the deal pricing with our unique delayed/scheduled dispatch system :)

      • Thanks for the reply. I don’t have to try 🥰, yours is better than the other one who posted here because you store them in a better condition. Maybe to do with melb being colder, or you have spent more capital on the storage, either way I don’t know enough about coffee to ask the right questions. Anyhow, keep up the good work 👍

  • Putting in my request for a deal on the Colombia Santa Elena SO! Absolutely loved it.

    • Hey @a1ienz I'm very glad you've reached out and it's wonderful to know you love our super special Colombia Santa Elena Single Origin!!!

We literally only have 6kg of our Santa Elena still available to reserve, so unless we're able to get more from the importer there won't be a sale for it before it's completely sold out. I'd recommend shooting through an order for it ASAP if you don't want to miss out :)

  • +1

I've ordered again today, and have done multiple times previously. Just a comment though, would be good to get a bit more detail about your company on the page, as it's a bit light on the actual details, where it is, how you adhere to Food Safety regulations etc. I enjoy your coffee but wonder about the process/premises it comes from.

  • First time trying this out I'm confused with how does the delay dispatch work with multiple coffee beans? It seems I can only select one green circle, rather than multiples so I don't get 4kg of beans at the same time? How can I choose an internal say delivery a bag per month? thanks!

    • Hey @ricolution appreciate you taking the time to reach out for further clarification, always better to ask than wonder!

From both financial and technological perspectives our system current only allows "One dispatch per order." If you'd like coffee dispatched on various dates then you'll need to place separate orders for each dispatch date you would like. The delayed dispatch benefits are that if you can reserve coffees before we sell out of a product line, make the most of deal pricing without needing to stockpile an excessive amount and plan ahead so you don't sudden find you've run out of fresh coffee. If you're not keen on placing 4 separate orders then you could simply place a single order of 4kg, when the fresh coffee arrives, just freeze 3/4 bags and this will extend the freshness for months until you're ready to get stuck into the other bags :)

  • Perfect timing. My favorite Colombia Cauca Single Origin is at the last bit of its bag. Just placed an order for 3 x 1kg bags.
    Cheers!

    • Fantastic to hear @Dr-Bargain looks like it was meant to be, as the timing has lined up for you so nicely :)

Thank you so much for another outstanding order, your continued support truly means so much!

  • Hey OP
Iv'e been having Vittoria bar oro from a long time. I only have long black while the Mrs prefers milk based coffees. What do you recommend? (long black obviously)
    Machine:- Breville Barista Express
    Jura:- S8

    • Hey @niknairn really appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

We generally don't comment about other companies, so I'll keep my feedback to a long black and milk based recommendation…I believe our Colombia Cauca should be a winner for you :)
