        • who cares

some people don't mind, including myself (depending on the defect), but some people do

          i took the cheaper price

          congrats πŸ‘

          • @beltdrive: They d be seconds as soon as you wear them once πŸ™ƒ

  • 8 Wide Chestnut OOS

    • +1

Perfect, this will help me resist temptation.

  • Ok I bought now think later with a size 10G… I'm a size 8.5G, as per measured my RM Williams a few weeks back.

What are my chances in getting an exchange from either Myer or direct with RM Williams after the fact? πŸ˜‚

Your chances are narrow to wide. :D

Could it be? Some people have more disposable income than others?

      • +1

They're not expensive. People complain about the cost of a boot that lasts for decades and then buy garbage from you-know-where that isn't good for a few years.

I've been wearing a pair of craftsman for a couple of decades and they still look awesome with minimal care.

        • I've worn through shoes in under six months from Myer. Utter dog crap

  • 9.5 is OOS

  • +1

Can't afford these right now but my size is still in stock and calling out to me.. πŸ˜ͺ

Hopefully there'll be more sales in the next few months so I can grab a pair before I move overseas.

  • Does anyone know if they buy a larger size if Myers would honour swapping for the right size on a later date?

  • i'm an 11 Wide but none on sale so i'm gambling and got an 11.5 Regular…. size charts seems to say it's only 3mm difference in width so let's see.

    Anyone else done similar?

    • I’ve done exactly the same

  • Has anyone experienced minor stitching coming off the side? I've had mine for only 6 months

For everyone moaning about sizes, blisters and shit. (first timers?)

    1. Do the usual recommendation and get sized up in store.
    2. Order Online from DJs / Myer(hint) that accept returns.
    3. Order size that felt good in store plus one/0.5 size UP. Humans swell when hot etc, worst case you can always wear a thicker sock until you swell. You can't go in to negative sock size if they're too small.
    4. Test drive boots on carpet in house until happy. Above stores will take them back if not worn outside a.k.a. soles not scuffed, smelly, bits of dead skin in them(socks) etc
    5. Return wrong size boots or both if unhappy.
    6. Done
  • Cuban Heels never go on special! πŸ˜•

    • Do they make mens cuban heels?

      • blurb from their website
        "Cuban heel boots
The R.M.Williams legend began with the cuban heel on the classic Bushman boot. Originally designed as a safety device which prevented the boot going through the stirrup if the rider was thrown by their horse, it is now a staple in many wardrobes. The cuban heel is a stacked leather tapered heel with a rubber capping. Now it is featured on the Santa Fe, a boot style seen in the catalogues since 1940"

But seems your right .. as it doesn't currently seem available in Mens

The closest currently seems to be the 'Yearling Boot' with its Block heel

I work as an engineer in Perth, I need this to be apart of my work attire to look competent. Thanks for sharing :p

  • Love the Stockbroking Cowboys , a fully Australian invention, work boots with a suit, doesn’t exist elsewhere

  • My Zara boots costed $79 and lasted 2 years

  • oos

  • go slightly smaller than your normal fit into because they'll stretch a bit over time

    good relationship advice as well

My experience with comfort craftsman has been pretty good. I bought the black colour in store at a time when there were no sales and was sick of recycling through shoes that lasted less than 1 year from other retailers.
Contrary to what is typically said online, I noticed that my feet didn't break-in or adjust to the shoes until about 4-5 weeks after.
I bought them in a size 8.5H. I usually wear a size US10. I prefer the H because it allows you to wear both thin dress socks and thicker hiking/wool socks during the winter. Both feel very comfortable.
My suggestion is to always get sized up in store and make a decision if you would like to wait until sales pop up online or take the plunge and pay for the shoes there and then.

  • Damn, I ordered when the deal was just posted but still got cancelled just now.

  • Shows a few sizes now

  • Rip. Got cancelled when deal just went up
    Chestnut wide size 9…
