Should I wait for 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

2024 is facelift design is not as attractive as 2023. On top of that 2024 GLE introduces mild hybrid. Good to wait and watch how this the reliability of this mild hybrid performs till 2025?

O.P. waiting to see if they have won the position with Westpac Graduate program.

Are you predicting that the world will end in 2025?

Don’t think anyone on OzBargain is getting the GLE considering they’re $200K+ pure waste of money.

    • Savage.

You clicked on ozbargain not whirlpool. Easy mistake.

You’re asking about an unnecessarily expensive glamour purchase during an inflationary time, and it has an internal combustion engine.

You need to reevaluate your life priorities.

Consumer spending makes up about 60% of our GDP so buy two of them, particularly if you’re financing them anyway

we looked at the EQB for a pure electric '7' seater…
whilst it's 'ok' and the extra two seats at the back are actually useable (which i can't say for the outlander) - The tech inside seems more dated than our second hand 2015 Jeep Cherokee :-(

Ended up looking at the BYD Seal as our new family car
though the BMW iX1 is rather nice too

EV's are in a weird place right now in terms of value for money

Buy now and reap the 12 month yield heights.

I love how you don't mention the brand at all in your post, or even the type of object it is, you just assume that everyone here knows what a "GLE" is and is living the same life as you.

    Classic mercedes owner.

  • Why a GLE in general?

  • +2

Yes. You must wait for the 2025. It’ll be so much better. I hear self drive will be activated to bring it to you in the carpark.

    • Not only that, self drive will take 5 minutes reverse parking for you too !!

Sounds like you're waiting so good, so I'd wait for the 2025 model or even 2026 or 2027 model. If they're introducing a new version, wait for a year or two to get a version with fixes.

If you can wait another 5 or so years, there may even be a full electric version or at the very least, a lot more data on reliability.

I think you should go with an investment with high yield.

I would be ‘waiting’ for the 2025 Hybrid Corolla!

  • I'd wait for the new McLaren instead.

    • Nah, def the new Ferrari SUV - should be here in 2026 - rumoured to be $750k plus onroad costs plus options.
      Lol.

    Ahh, another Westpac graduate.

Personally if it's not an AMG you're wasting your time ;)

Otherwise if you enjoy throwing money into the fire i've got a fantastic ponzi scheme for you!

Honestly wouldnt bother with a 2025. Totally new shape will be dropping in 2026. Which will make the 2025 look old. And that would be embarrassing to drive.
