  • I’m completely useless when it comes to hardware.
    Far too many options.

Is there anything anyone can recommend for around $1k that will do me as a work laptop? I use it a lot for basic programs at work, web based applications, web browsing etc, don’t use it for watching anything/games.

Cashrewards should bring it down to ~$700

      • Thanks. I'll take a look.

There is Yoga 6 AMD 13", with processor, RAM and SSD upgrade it is $1190. Slightly higher than $1K but is a touch screen…

Also IdeaPad Slim 5i 14", with i7-13620, is $1043. If you don't need touch screen I would go for this one as this i7 has great specs.

      • Thank you!

  • In case anyone needs a 13 inch laptop sleeve - I got one a few days ago and it's great for the price. Delivered by DHL.

  • $2037 for the Legion Slim 5 14 with 32gb + 1TB drive upgrades, so $1752 after cashback. I paid nearly 2.1k for mine around Christmas on the EDU store.

    • Shopback has higher % with westpac if u are willing to wait and it tracks
