  • Thanks! Got one

  • Is this plane safe?

    • +2

      Got it anyway….:)

      • This is da way ;)

    • No, spec sheet reads that it explodes above 500 feet ;)

      • Haha… just read the details… it’s airplane safe…

        Some airlines are too picky

    • +1

      It's not a plane .

      • Nor is it a safe.

    • -3

As per specifications mentioned, it is 25000mAh 5V Powerbank which means it results in 125Wh.

So we will need airline permission before carrying this Powerbank in flight as it is greater than 100Wh.

This is my understanding. Feel free to correct me, and I would appreciate it even more if someone confirms that this is permitted during air travel.

      • +6

The total capacity is 92.5Wh as per INUI.

5V is a voltage that it can output, not the voltage of the cells

      • +2

        https://batteryuniversity.com/article/bu-303-confusion-with-… 3.7 volts
watt-hours is equal to milliamp-hours times volts divided by 1000
        92.5 = (25000 * 3.7) / 1000

        • +1

And from that link the total capacity is 90W as the nominal voltage for Li-ion chemistry is 3.6V not the marketing hype 3.7v
So thats the potential energy available from the batteries if there was a direct short. That's what the airlines are interested in. What one can actually use is much less. The real capacity of a powerbank with a 25000mAh battery ranges from between 16000 to 17000mAh. Often seen in specs as "rated capacity". This is because of DC to DC voltage conversion and power loss and useability of total capacity. So you don't destroy the expected life span of the battery the battery management system will only allow you to use perhaps 80% of the total capacity.

      • +1

3.7V is the standard lithium cell voltage.

        3.7V * 25000mAh = 92.5Wh

    • +1

Yes. I’ve just taken mine from Australia to Vietnam, a Vietnam domestic flight, and then Vietnam to India on Vietjet with no worries.

    • 【Air Travel Ready: 25,000mAh Capacity】 Stay powered up during your travels with a substantial 25,000mAh battery capacity. It offers multiple device charges and is airplane-friendly for on-the-go power, making long flights and layovers a breeze.

      • +1

Yes it is mentioned on the Powerbank itself as 92.5Wh so should not be a problem at all.

  • Ty OP

  • Thanks OP, great price for this power bank!

  • Thanks OP.

^ You made a good choice then ;)

  • Got one in time.

  • Dunno how I feel about no brand powerbanks

    • +1

The brand has good reviews across all their products, as far as I can tell. On ozbargain as well.

I've bought one of their car chargers for $7 and it is built well and works well

      • Might give it a shot next time then, never heard of them

        Been sticking with ZMI/Xiaomi

        • There’s a couple of YouTube video on this branded powerbank, watch it and make up your mind.

      • -2

The iniu car charger i have is a bit weird.
My S23U detects it as a usb device.
If i keep my phone connected to it and turn my car off, i get a warning tone in my car. Not sure why

  • +12

INIU i would miss this deal again.

  • Damn son.

I bought this one for like $47 USD.

Having said that, I bought for my trip. Never missed a beat.

    So far working well.

Page shows 85gram. This can't be true?
    I remember buying a 10kmhA for 170g, 20kmhA for 360g and this is 25kmhA

Your units make my head hurt.

      • -1

These units are from the product page; please read the relevant one.

  • Damit missed the deal

    • same, any other deals on power banks anyone?

    • It's back on, voucher just worked for me

  • Damn I missed! Would’ve been great for my steam deck.

  • Ahh I've had the screen for this open and keep refreshing it waiting for a coupon and I missed it. Also for a steam deck.

  • Cracking deal. Missed it, but have an upvote anyway.

  • Bought this last week with a 10% coupon and even at that price I'm still happy with it. I manage to get nearly 3 full charges on my Steam Deck out of it.

Anyone that managed to pick it up on this sale is going to be very happy. What a bargain.

  • Doh missed out.

  • +2

50% coupon working again (even though purchased yesterday). Get it soon.

    • It would've been a new coupon code that went live last night so you're able to view/redeem it even after ordering the previous night.

  • Vouchers working. just ordered. Free delivery as well, not sure why.

    • +1

Lol many haven't subscribed to comments and missing out on opportunity 😀

  • Gone agai argh

  • +2

Looks like there's a 30% off coupon now, bringing it down to $53.53 and if you add this 100W cable you can get free shipping:

    • Yea just got one, I'm happy with 30% I really need one for the steam deck

    • Just bought 1.
Prefer 50% but 30% is fine LOL.

  • +2

Damn missed it. 30% off is not deal for me.

  • I'm trying to charge this Powerbank from a Dell 90W USB-C laptop power supply but it's not working at all. Any idea why?

Fast charges OK from a 45W car adapter though

    • Maximum charge rate of the power bank is 65W. It can discharge at 100W though.

It's still really fast compared to most though which can only charge at 20W - remember those huge capacity USB drives that were so slow they'd take DAYS to fill with data? That's what most high capacity power banks are like now.

      • +1

Yeah I understand the maximum input is 65w, but if I connect a 90w charger it should still work, but only charge at 65w of course.

I’ve now had a chance to try a 100w Baseus charger and it works fine so it must just be a compatibility issue with the Dell. Annoying but not the end of the world.

        The fast charging is great.

        • Yeah that's pretty strange. The charging port does both in/out so there might be some signal from that Dell charger that's confusing it?

It's always worth noting (for anyone else who may be reading this in future and may not know) that USB-C supports a LOT of different charging protocols: standard 5V USB charging, QC (which has several versions and voltages), PD charging, PPS charging, VOOC and variants (Oppo proprietary), and probably more coming in future. And each of those usually has several standards/speeds too, with the device and charger (and cable) left to figure out which one to use.

          • @Nukkels: Yeah lots of quirks with usbc and hard to know how things will behave

I had no luck trying to get my laptop usbc port or another usbc power bank to
            charge the INIU

  • +2

So just completed a slow battery discharge capacity test for this recently purchased INIU.
5V 0.5A load - power bank switched off at 15340 mAHr after 29.5hrs.

Not quite within the 2/3 rule, but close.

    • The 25,000mAh is at 3.7v.

76.7Wh from a claimed 92.5Wh capacity. 17% efficiency loss, not forgetting the charging efficiency too.

      • Yes using 5V discharge voltage probably is when the DC DC converter is most inefficient (18V—>5V). The useable capacity is often seen in the specs as "rated capacity" - and is standardised for a 5V discharge but not sure of amperage. This figure is useful for the user as it is supposedly the grunt you can get out of a full power bank. I haven't seen where INIU state the 'rated capacity" for the 25000mAhr model. The Ugreen 145W 25000mAhr power bank have rated capacity 14500mAHr (21.6% efficiency loss) and ZMI QB826G 25000Ahr is 14000mAhr(24.3% efficiency loss) (I tested 13460mAhr). So will be interesting to see how the rated capacity of the INIU holds up with time.
