Aren't these $44 on Samsung website and $135 for pack of 4?

EDIT: nvm, those are discounted prices from buying S24.

  • anyone used these ..care to share feedback ?

    • +2

Used it for travelling. Really depend son where you go and if there are enough Samsung phones. Worked well for me

      • Not really helpful, as this is over 2 years old, so is talking about a different device

As compared to itag, it's not that good, you can't navigate to the exact tag location if it is within 1 km, I bought it but not that useful

Yeah they are fantastic. Compared to normal tiles (android remember), these have UWB for location tracking, as in when you are close enough it'll point what direction to look.

    • Have one, intended to use it on my dogs collar, can't use it because it has a manufacturer's fault, that has been mentioned in multiple reddits, where the 3 beeps from inserting the battery happens at random. https://gyazo.com/fc96cd5b54328077bd736ccd6703d414.

Samsung refuses to acknowledge it as a manuf issue and won't let me return for a full refund, asked me to take it to a service centre for assessment.

Can't comment on use in any other way.

    • i bought some just before christmas. not that great. if your phone can see them from 50m away, it will just show as your location. ideally it would be more precise somehow (i think the apple tags are). had one in a suitcase and it wasnt that helpful in telling me where my bag was between the plane and the carousel.

and have one in your house and want to find it? you can get it to make a noise, but again no precise location available on the phone

I don't think you are using it right. Once it is that close, you can use the "search nearby" function. It will tell you in meters how far away you are and then once you get closer it can use AR and the phone camera to show you exactly.

        • Maybe his Samsung phone doesn't have UWB, thus not able to do the precise "search nearby".
I have the ST2 and it's really great with my S21U.

  • You can get a 4 pack at Bing Lee for $159 which equates to $39.75 each (of course this is only relevant if you want 4 of them).

  • Late last year I got 4 for $105

  • How's the battery life? I have the previous gen and the batteries last maybe 2 months before it needs replacing. Unless mine has a fault?

    • Check your model, it maybe the tag+ version. That model is known to have much shorter battery life (6month max)
The original Tag 1 can last over a year, from my experience.
Orderd the tag 2, hope the UWB AR feature comes in handy looking for items in piles, lol

  • Assuming these only work with Galaxy phones. Not with pixels?

    • +1

SmartTag2 requires connection to a compatible Galaxy smartphone or tablet Android 9.0 or above with over 3GB of RAM. IoT devices must to be registered to the SmartThings app.

  • Black is Actually $55 not $45.
