It's a U.2 connection. First I've seen of it too. Your motherboard will need a U.2 connector. These support 32,000MB/s

        U.3 now :)

U.2 huh, you learn new thing everyday i guess. it seams i need to do some digging on this.

Think of nvme as more of a protocol rather than a form factor, m.2/u.2/u.3 being the shapes nvme drives can come in though the latter 2 are usually for servers.

Same thing to why Apple was able to have their NAND chips not use PCIe lanes while also having NVMe.

  • Nice deal

$160 more gets you Gen 4 interface, double the sequential read/write and local support versus the Intel P4510

Hook up the drive to a PS5 with a M.2/U.2 adapter for a ghetto expansion drive

    • dont forget you can claim back ~$80 or so in gst if you're using them for business purposes since these come with a tax invoice :)

  • fyi, they have created 61TB SSD's, today it seems mind blowing tomorrow it wont be enough to run Window 20

Reposting this: Do not buy these for your NAS if you are a typical owner. Highly recommend keeping eyes peeled for SATA drives such as the Intel DC SATA ssd one. Common platforms for Home labs do not remotely have enough PCIE to use more than a couple of these and then you remember they need additional cooling ;)

How do you add the discount code?

    • I was going through the order process and it said "Click to review" and I thought that's where I'd enter the code, but the bloody order went straight through. :(

  • Hi, will you be stocking SATA/SAS SSDs soon? Need to be compatible with Poweredge R740.
