      There are some restrictions you should be aware of.

      The TCN Kids gift card in this deal operates on the eftpos network, which will affect how you can use them for instore and online purchases.

      Instore transactions

      The TCN website says you can redeem TCN gift cards instore at any JB Hi-Fi physical store just like any other eftpos card. To do this, tell the staff member at the checkout you have an eftpos card you want to use (and if you need to, the amount available on the card), then once you are asked for payment, swipe it on the EFTPOS terminal, select SAV and enter the PIN on the back of the gift card.

      You should be able to do split payments across multiple TCN Kids gift cards if needed. The OzBargain redemption record for TCN gift cards in one instore transaction at JB Hi-Fi is 99.

      If you want to directly redeem a TCN Kids gift card instore at JB Hi-Fi, do not tell the staff member you have a gift card to redeem. In terms of redemptions, JB Hi-Fi treats a JB Hi-Fi gift card as a gift card, whereas it treats a TCN (and Ultimate) gift card as a bank card (and their instore checkout system treats a gift card and a bank card differently).

      The only product type you officially cannot purchase using TCN gift cards at JB Hi-Fi is gift cards (which is outlined in JB Hi-Fi's gift card policy.) I am not sure to what extent this is enforced, as this updated policy was only introduced a number of weeks ago.

      Online transactions (excluding "commercial" portals)

      You cannot directly redeem a TCN Kids gift card on the JB Hi-Fi website (www.jbhifi.com.au), because JB Hi-Fi's website is unable to redeem cards operating on the eftpos network. However, you can get around this by going to the TCN Kids gift card webpage (linked in OP's description) and exchanging the partial or full balance of a TCN Kids gift card for a digital JB Hi-Fi gift card. You can redeem an unlimited number of JB Hi-Fi gift cards in one transaction on the JB Hi-Fi website.

      As I said before, JB Hi-Fi's gift card policy states you cannot use JB Hi-Fi gift cards as a payment method for any gift cards sold by them (including Xbox and PlayStation gift cards). I am not sure to what extent this is enforced…

      "Commercial" portals

      You will not be able to use a TCN Kids gift card from this deal (or a JB Hi-Fi gift card) on JB Hi-Fi's "commercial" portals (JB Hi-Fi Business, JB Hi-Fi Commercial, JB Hi-Fi Solutions). If you had not heard of these portals before, it is where employees, members or customers of selected organisations can purchase a selected range of products at "commercial" prices.

      JB Hi-Fi’s gift card policy state that JB Hi-Fi gift cards and TCN gift cards cannot be used on these “commercial” portals. You cannot redeem TCN Kids gift cards online (as I mentioned before), plus there is no option on these portals to redeem a JB Hi-Fi gift card, so it looks like this restriction is actually enforced.

        Google Play can have an expiry it depends how you use it -

        “3. Expiration Period; No Fees. Gift Card value expires 5 years following the date of (1) card issuance, or (2) last activity on Google Play stored value account into which the card is redeemed, whichever is later. No fees apply to the Gift Card.”

        It was probably November or December 2023. I only noticed this policy change in December 2023.

        I suspect part of the reason this change happened is that Ultimate gift cards changed their own terms and conditions in November 2023 to say you cannot use Ultimate gift cards to purchase any gift cards or vouchers at any participating retailers.

      Yeah I just decided to buy a TV in JB today so will need to buy a lot more than 5 Gift Cards at a time. Looks like there is nothing that says you need to scan your FlyBuys card so I hope that it is more 5 per person in that store if they recognise you etc.

    Guys, TCN GC is hopeless.
    I cannot convert those TCN Kids GC to JB GC. It shows "Please check your Card Number and try again. Or contact us for assistance." as few other guys have before.

          yes I see now. I purchased the ultimate card teen deal recently posted on these forums. when googling how to convert them I went back and forth on these websites until I found the link i provided. Maybe phong7 also got confused
