It only arrived on Tuesday so haven’t really tested it aside from a test cut on pine.
With the ProCore batteries it does really well, on the regular 18v batteries it would do "okay". The 8Ah battery that comes with it is a ProCore so it will do well with that.
Yeah I have 2 x Pro cores already, so thanks for that. I used to have 50acres and seemed to be always cutting hardwood for various projects, I got the wood cheap from an old guy who had a mill down the road but the Makitia 18v wouldn't cut it at all.
It cuts through hardwood very well after making a few test cuts.

its because I entered a comp to test and review biturbo tools they have given me a code for total tools it does work I just tested I can get this saw for 539.5 problem is I don't really need a mitre saw ( I do want one though) I would pull the trigger if the code would work on the lawnmower kit though.. (I did get total tools to price match the saw in the hopes I could stack and save a further 50 bucks haha but the price match just produces a code which doesn't stack.
Email says code is unique and non transferable not sure if true though
I got the email but I have to order through Bunnings. It tells me I have to add a battery and charger to get the 50% off. Is it the same for you?
I also have the Bosch 50% off trial but with Bunnings. The unfortunate thing is they want you to purchase the tool skin + battery + charger and then give you 50% off and it is all processed over the phone.
Do you mind mentioning if the bosch promo with total tools also requires all three items?

@namanuu: Would you happen to be interested in sharing your total tools code? The Bunnings deal works out approx $750.00 which I’ll probably end up going with while the price has dropped to $1079 - so it’s not terrible but the $540.00 is much more appealing!

Tried to order but it wont; let me.Always says "please select other shipping method", tried multiple browsers (FF and Edge), even tried an address in NSW and Qld as well as here in Tassie and that's all I ever get ??? EDIT: Figured out why, if I had more then two thing sin my cart (which I was doing to get it over the $1K for tre extra $50 Tool Dollars) it wont; let me order, drop it back to only two items in the cart and new button appear to click for shipping and it worked… still weird.

What the hell, is Bosch coming out with another model ? Only criticism I've heard is the dust extraction is poor.
How are people finding it ? Powerful enough ? Tempted as I am, I assumed 1 x 18v battery would be underwhelming on a saw this big but the 240v saw isnt on special . My Makita 18v circular saw was usless on hardwood which was why I was wary Watts = V x A.
