Airport Parking Melbourne Tullamarine - Any Deals?

Hi OzB, just looking for community insight before I book my airport parking.

We will be going for 3 weeks and I wanted to see if there were any better deals to be had other than value parking at $12 a day ($264) We are traveling with an infant so will need to car (so no taxi or Uber suggestions).

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • … but there are taxis fitted with rear-facing baby seats and/or provision to fit your own.

When pricing taxis from our home it was coming out at about 120 each way so the convenience of having our own car trumped this.
      Thanks for your reply

  • Would you consider a sky bus?

    • Nah we love out west so would have to go to Southern Cross with all our luggage and a baby. Then same on the way home so not ideal. Thanks for your suggestion

      • Pretty sure the ballerat airport shuttle bus stops in Melton if thats an option.

    • Not ideal with our infant. Thanks though. That's a very handy post

Great when you’re travelling solo. But yeah, I get it, a bit much for infant plus luggage.

    Catch the train

Drive and park further away… and then take the bus(and train).

Have a look for private car parks that offer long term parking. They may even offer a transfer to the airport.

  • Use one of the other providers outside the airport like Andrews Parking

    • I found their connections to not be as frequent so it's less convenient. Also their vans are not buses like value as we will have lots of luggage with our infant

  • Family member drop you off?

    • Nah don't have any support in Australia:(

We live out West and use YD Airport Transfer Service for our airport transfers. Very reliable and on time. For long trips makes it worthwhile to use their service even if costs are same as parking. Save on petrol and the headaches of having to drive to airport/back home.

We dislike the Value parking as you still need to take the bus to terminal and prefer at terminal parking, so anything over a week of parking is worth taking the airport transfer service when we travel. We will be using them again next month.

Brother have used them when his kid was a baby last year and they supplied the car seat. Reach out to them on Facebook and they can give you a quote.

    • Thanks can I ask how they went with return journeys, wouldn't want to be stranded on the way back :)

We arranged airport transfer for both ways. So they picked us up upon our return as well. You give them your return flight details when booking, once you landed and have your bags, let them know and they will meet at airport pickup area.

We are also from 3030, so they should be able to service you. They do a lot of work in the area.

  • What is the approx suburb are you leaving from?

    • 3030

      • Mate, you want your cake and eat it too. If you're tinkering around that $250 for parking the only cheap option is skybus and some uber transfer in between their pick up depot in hopper/Werribee. Failing that bus 903 and train to broadie. I can tell you that all those private parking is only a little cheaper and involves a longer private bus ride. It won't be much cheaper than that $12 a day.

        • Thanks mate.

  • Taxi is an option and in Victoria, an infant is allowed to travel in a taxi (not rideshare) without a car seat. Could book a maxi taxi or wagon in view of the luggages. The return taxi trip would probably be slightly higher than driving but you save on convenience and also fuel costs.

    • Thanks I didn't know about taxi not needing car seats.

  • Thanks all I just bit the bullet and went for value parking for the convenience sake. I really appreciate all of your suggestions and replies.
