Not a bad price on this power bank if you're after something with a large capacity and don't need the fastest charging available.

This one features 18W USB-PD fast charging via USB-C, Quick Charge 3.0 via the blue USB port and 5V/2.1A via the white USB port. For recharging it has USB-PD 18W via USB-C, QC 3.0 via Micro USB and 5V/2.1A via Lightning.

While this power bank exceeds 100Wh it's still possible to take it onboard with airline approval. Last time I checked Qantas/Jetstar require approval via email and Virgin asks you to declare it at check in. Refer to other airline's dangerous goods pages to see their policies.

Just an extra hassle getting approval for a 100WH powerbank when you can bring 2 of 20,000mAh ones no need for getting approval.

    • Qantas/Jetstar will give you 12 months of approval last time I tried. Virgin were like "ok" at check in.

      • What happens if they deny it at checkin, you catch a taxi home and back?

        • You pull out your phone and say "Why does your website say it's allowed?".

          • @Clear: Whats the point of declaration if they cant stop you taking it

            • @Tleyx: To prevent security checking your power bank to see if it's under 100Wh. I haven't had issues in Australia for years with the introduction of the smart scanners but overseas I've had issues.

      • Still waiting for that famous headline. Plane goes up in smoke and flames - lithium to blame! 30,000mAh is a chunky battery. Good price though.

I genuinely think now when a house fire starts ain't no chance of putting it out. Too many batteries everywhere.

    • Are 30000 mAh powerbanks not allowed on flights? I've had my 30000mAh 111Wh Rommas powerbank for several years and have flown to Sydney and Brisbane many times since and flew all around Europe last year. I've never been asked about it once

Is 100w power bank allowed on flights?

According to them, power banks with a capacity of less than 100Wh (watt-hour) can be carried in your cabin luggage. However, power banks with a capacity between 100Wh and 160Wh may require the airline's approval beforehand.

    Very happy with my one.

Bought one of these a few years ago, exact same spec. Left it in the draw for a few months and it swelled up. YMMV. To compare, my Xiaomi has been working perfectly for over 4 years without issues.

    • Link to Xiaomi model?

      • I dont have a link, but its the 20000mAh version. Buy only from reliable sources as there are many counterfeit versions available on ebay and the like.

    • I have had a romoss for a couple of years now, still seems fine, I've had Xiaomi that swole up after a few years. Nothing lasts for ever.

      • +1

Yeah totally agree. My Romoss died prematurely which may have been a dud to begin with. Not saying they will all die like mine, just pointing out the safety issues I experienced.

  • +2

Had mine for a few years. Works well, no complaints. Would buy again.

    Mine has been great

  • Why it charges Samsung galaxy S 23 Ultra at only 6 W, in fact , my phone doesn’t seem to fast charge as advertised with any power-bank I have, not sure if it is faulty!

    • Are you using the same cable each time? USB-C to USB-C or USB-A to C?

Though I am seeing a lot of people reporting similar after updates on reddit in the last few days to a month.

      • +1

        Usb c to usb c that supports 100 W

  • Had mine for 3 years. Best value power bank o have owned this far.

Have this ROMOS and INIU 65W, a night and day. ROMOS is much, much slower to charge, bulkier, heavier cannot charge laptops, but in fairness offers 5000mAh on paper.

Would I buy ROMOS again? No way.

IMO Much better value is INIU 100W for $53.54 after 30% off coupon at https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08VDJP7WN

Haha you don't say? Of course 65W PD is going to be faster than 18W PD.

Yep, dr get a clue 🤣

        • Reminds me of this. Numbers are hard.

@Clear: Gentlemen, what kind of problem do you have?

Is the next thing you are going to resort is "yo'mamma" jokes or calling me fat?

Clear this is not the first time that you try to drag people to mud with your comments, I hope you will approach it more respectfully and maturely in the future.

            • @dr: It should be pretty obvious that a 65W powerbank is going to charge faster than 18W.

Clear this is not the first time that you try to drag people to mud with your comments,

I'm still waiting for the evidence he ordered a new product to AliExpress that had never been posted on OzBargain. Especially when it's not the first time they've done it. Plus 15 others agreed and negged him, so you're in the minority there.

              • -3

@Clear: Not everyone is (that) technical here.

My comment was about the experience owning both, without going into technical details why. BTW thanks for explaining that. IMNSHO ~$13 savings is not worth buying ROMOSS as it will lead to frustrations in the long run - I personally charged it only twice and used it due to long charging time.
Also a lot of people own M1 or Ryzen based laptops where INIU may act as external power supply (battery) while Romoss can't.

                • +1

@dr: If you want better than both, then ZMI is where it's at.

                  • -4

                    @Clear: Maybe :-)
Well outside the price range I'm happy to spend on a power bank, also I do not have devices needing more than 65W, so 100W for laptop and phone charging at the same time are good enough for me.

              • -3

@Clear: Interestingly enough I failed to find other times they've done it.

I do not mind being in the minority, my opinions are based on merits and facts, I do not follow mob logic.

Clear is 100% rite, and most ppl here know a 65w pb will always charge faster than an 18w hence the number difference, basic math, no argument, will not reply

I see you are a gentleman and a scholar my learned friend.

Thanks for the link doc. Grabbed one.

    • Don't buy this can of coke, I have a 1.25 Litre bottle at home and there's way more in that.

  • I have the 20k version of this and love it as it's one of the few power banks on the market that can be charged via lightning. So I just have 1 USB-Lightning cable around me to charge my phone + charge my powerbank in 1 go.

  • I have 2 x 30w 10k version, and are the best of about 20 different power banks I have owned and have used these constantly for about 10 mths without issues, highly recommend

Well, ahem… what was that saying about apples and… oranges

While I have the same model (30W 10000mAh https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0B7G7VH8T ) and can wholeheartedly recommend it, that is completely different device form the one in this deal.

If you are recommending something based on the trust in brand name, that's a completely different story.

      • Have this ROMOS and INIU 65W

Well, ahem… what was that saying about apples and… oranges

        …. 🤡

Had a 20000 mAh of these and after 12 month it got real fat.

    • -1

Maybe that is just capacity increasing to 25000mAh ;-)

  • Cactus, any input?
