It's a pretty bad deal when compared to Samsung store and much worse when compared to edu/EPP

    I ordered s24 U 256 + watch 6 classic for $1738, add pro2 to it which have been $124 lately, still under $1900.

Plus, do you really want to give Optus your business?

    • Genuinely curious.. may I know where you got the above as the S24 U is currently $2199 through the Samsung store, $2089.05 stacked with edu/EPP 5%. Happy to be corrected though. I'm using the Optus network at the moment, so I don't care.

      • Take advantage of the trade in bonus.

Nothing wrong with Optus in Metro Melbourne. The Service is actually available in the South East, and if you mention the hack, businesses are hacked or hacks are are attempted on the daily.

I am regrettably on Telstra because work pays for it. It’s good when I’m on holidays but every other day I’m having to rely on wifi everywhere.

yeah, and yet what other telcos have as many issues with it as optus?

        • -1

          Telstra in 2023.

Telstra paid my bill for 2.5years because they sent techs to our area and found the same issue. I moved back to Optus for 3months and it was lightning speeds.

It’s trendy on Ozb to clown on Optus. But it’s going to be forever the Apple v Android

Please share link for Bud 2 pro at $124.

  • They don’t want to price match at least for me they didn’t.

    • How cam i access that?

    • @SpaceNinja could you help with how you got it. I know there is a lot of thread out There but some reason I don't get anywhere near the deal

      • Most likely including trade in which ninja hasnt disclosed

    • Can you please share the hack? Thanks

      • GALAXYAI code expired a few days ago though?

Not the greatest deal. Firstly infuriating that you can't just find out the outright cost and need to talk to customer service. Customer service wouldn't even get to the point and it took a lot of back and forth to even get them to tell the price. Not sure why I'd give them my service, especially after the optus outage, security breaches, etc.

The real prize on the Samsung store as usual is the huge trade in bonus. If you can't do that, don't have access to the epp, didn't do the accessory bundle, and really want the buds and watch this is an acceptable deal.

S24 Ultra deals were only good the first few days once preorders went live, nothing comes close now.

    • I second this. Why would you even bother, Optus is absolute garbage. Youre still paying full RRP, theres no actual suposed ' discounts' they go on about.

  • +2

This deals crap, and Optus is crap, so why bother

  • +3

These deals are for joe-six-pack aka non technical people , not for ozbargainers.

  • You also get an accessories pack if you showed your interest for the pre-order. Which was 4 smart tags2 and a trio charger.

  • The current ad they show where they circle an item and search for is AI?
I call it cut and paste in Google. Been around for two decades. I call it Google.
Is this the best new features on a phone ?

    • -5

Samsung is actually a copy paste company, they copy paste and apply some icing thats it!

    • No it’s not

      • 1 example: Why did Samsung bring in titanium colour this year.

        • I was saying “No it’s not [the best new feature of the phone, there’s plenty other great features].

Why did they bring in titanium? Because it looks good, it’s popular, and apple don’t own the colour. Chill out a bit

          • @JobbaWobba: So many instances including headphone jack, charger, headphones, using titanium, the great legal battle between apple and Samsung. :)
Would suggest to read the Samsung related forums where people tell about the Gumi R&D center with ‘research’/reverse engineering teams ‘researching’ competitors products.

            • @backupper1: Okay let’s say Samsung were inspired by apple’s good ideas so they wanted to implement them on their own device’s, what’s the problem? If there’s competition between company’s then the consumer is the winner. Aren’t we getting a better phone if they took inspo from apple? And likewise when Apple take inspo from android phones

              • @JobbaWobba: Problem you said by yourself, taking ‘inspiration’ after being the second largest premium phone vendor, the consumer is in a big loss because they have to bear what apple brings out without any attempt of innovation or even uniqueness from Samsung. The titanium usage in s24u is laughable imitation to say the least.

  • This seems terrible! Just wait till you can get the Ultra for around $1100 like every other time. Usually it's from a samsung store trade in + bonus trade in etc etc

  • Meh

  • Do deals like this ever happen when buying outright?
