the only problem with this is that it has a battery which all 3 "devices" run off. If it's your only option it's great but I have a separate eufy lock and doorbell. I think I charge the door lock once every 4-6 months. I'd go with max 3 times a year and the kids are constantly in and out and playing with it, trying to get in etc.

My camera eufy video doorbell is the battery one but I hard wired it in, it was a pain to charge with how quickly it ran out of power with the number of detections it makes.

Having all 3 systems in one would get annoying I'd think.

    • Also, manual says it takes 6 hours to charge… I find that my video doorbell battery takes more like 10 hours to charge using micro-USB :-(
Can't tell from the manual if it uses USB-C to charge the battery (looks like the same battery as mine i.e. micro-USB), although it does use USB-C for emergency power access - anybody know if eufy use USB-C to charge their batteries nowadays?

It uses usb-c and you can get a spare battery pack and just swap when it runs low. Love mine. Only issue is that the Home Assistant support isn't available as yet and the auto lock feature is dumb, it waits X mins and locks. So if the door is open it'll just open the bolt, which could be easily solved with a door sensor and HA!

        • That's one thing I really don't like about this one compared to my Samsung locks. The Samsung ones have a magnet and reader on the side to know when the door is closed. However having a device all in one means I don't need to use a Samsung lock + Ring doorbell. Still worth it.

    • Might as well hack it and use mains power 😂

  • I have it and the battery lasts quite a while, even with frequent recordings and people coming and going each day.

  • I am tempted to get this however have a screen door on the outside. So I am unsure if the actual 'doorbell' function would get used or if it would just completely get missed and anyone would just bang on the screen instead.

  • I have this on a pretty aggressive recording mode and the battery lasts around 4 months. Very happy with it and charging is not really an inconvenience.
