FYI, It's $125 at Woolworths until next Tuesday.

    • I went in and they all had expire on 22/2/24
Is that just the packet or does the code expire in Feb when you buy it ???

        From an old comment

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/10804759/redir

Basically once they are sold to the customer, they are valid for 365 days and will expire if not activated within that time.

      • Packet says 12 month expiry.
        $250 prepaid plus starter pack
Includes 150gb + 90gb bonus data on activation only.
        Activate by 22.02.24.

      • +1

You dont get the 90gb bonus data after 22.02.24
        You will only get 150gb.

Yeah thanks mate. I went to Woolies website but couldn't find it. That is why I posted this offer.
Or is it in-store Woolies offer only?

      • +3

Sim Card Deal from Supermarkets are usually in-store only.

  • Are they eSIM?

    • Yes but the annoying thing about them is you need to setup physical sim card first and then you change it to eSIM.

  • With boost I can use wifi calling overseas, all signs on the Vodafone website point to this being the same but just wondering if anyone has any personal experience?

    • doesn't look like vodafone support it from overseas, fair enough.

  • Bought and price match at officeworks this morning

    • +3

Did you manage to price match the $125 or $150?

      • Was that online or in store? Online wouldn't price match for me as they claim it's not identical as you cant purchase the WW one online. Not worth the argument or a trip to a OW store for the sake a few $…

  • Has Vodafone a good signal reception ?

      better than optus tbh

  • Activated vodafone SIM on RealMe phone last night.
Found that only data works. Voice calls doesnt work.
Vodafone store representatives say voice calls dont work on mobile phones from OnePlus, Realme, Xiaomi and someothers like that. They don't know exact reason but they got this information from their backend team. What a disaster!! Not sure what to do!!!

    • +1

It's likely because your handset doesn't support VoLTE. Now the 3G network is turned off, you can't make calls. (Vodafone was the first in December, Telstra and Optus to follow this year).

You need to buy a 5G Australian phone. I'd suggest the Moto G54 if on a budget or G84 if feeling bougie.

Most Xiaomis will work once you disable the carrier check with a dialer code.

Check if RealMe have something similar.

$125 at Woolworths and activate until 22.02.24.
You get 150gb and bonus of 90gb.

  • Is all data 5g or is there a cap on it?
Secondly, any extra reward points that can be used later?

  • Is the data cut off or slowing down after all 240GB is used?
Vodafone's other monthly prepaid plan are just slowing down.

    Update:
    https://www.vodafone.com.au/prepaid/plans
First use all other data, then keep using data at slower speeds. And you can bank up to 200GB unused My Data each time you recharge on a Prepaid Plus plan before expiry.

  • Does it have international roaming for $5/day?

  • Was gonna activate today, but saw a note stating to activate by the 09/04/2024 to receive the extra data.

Surely this right and not the 22/02/24 as suggested in the OP?

    • Yes same here. I was planning to activate before 22-04-2024 but came across the same message , new date seems to be before 09-04-2024. Took a screenshot just in case. I'll leave it closer to 09-04-2024 and see what happens. Hopefully no dramas, can't trust any of the telecoms. Their left hand has usually no idea what the right hands doing.
