    My Viofo Duo died 2-3 weeks ago. By the looks it seems that this dashcam uses a similar hardwire kit,mini USB interface & rear camera connector. Hopefully, we will be able to use the existing wiring of Viofo with this one. Fingers crossed.

      No you cant use the cables as the rear camera of this dashcam is not removable. It is fixed on one end.

      Also reach out to the Viofo team, I think they replace Viofo Dashcams out of warranty for something like $30 (might be US$), cant remember exactly.

              @adrianhughes1998: So basically upscaled 4K right? So you mean for less than $90 it is not good because it is upscaled 4K? Reason why I want a sample is because, dashcams are supposed to be for evidentiary purposes when you get in an accident. To capture important details right in front or at the back of your car, dashcams are not supposed to be used for cinematic purposes. Unless you want to relive your journey on a 4k TV and see the scenery once again.

                @Warlock: Lmao you don't get it do you. For example, Starvis 2 sensors deal with reflections at night time on licence plates very well, for example, which previous generations did not.

                It's not about being cinematic. It's about capturing details in most detail possible if that's what you wish to pay for. My issue is with companies misleading consumers to think it is 4k footage at these cheap price points when it isn't.
