Another Wuben torch on sale and this time it's a pocket sized one that's quite different to a lot of others. This includes being able to rotate the head 180°, dual LEDs with both red and blue available, a glow in the dark case, a lid to make it a diffuse light to reduce glare and the ability to Qi wireless charge the torch. Plus it includes a charging base.

The torch has multiple modes with up to 700lm brightness in turbo, a 3000mAh battery, a 3-in-1 lanyard USB-C charging cable and IP65 water resistance. I believe it uses a Samsung LH351D emitter.

Only the colour White is on sale.

  • As cool as this is, I still prefer a physical charging port.

For example if you're not home and want to charge the torch; you'll need the dock/charging box or a wireless charger.

    • There is a USB-C port on this one. I had to triple check because they only mention the cable.

      • I believe the cable is for the dock.

The reason for the lack of physical port is for the IP65 Waterproof rating.

Quadruple checked. The case it comes with has USB-C.

            @Clear:

            White X3 (Glow-in-the-dark) & Black Base

The deal in the OP doesn't actually come the case; it comes with the dock.

The other options for $129.99 comes with the case.

Both Dock and Case charges via USB-C. No physical ports on the torch itself.

            • @RichardL: Good catch, thanks

            • @RichardL: same, that has actually being the main reason putting me off.
also the internal battery is not user friendly to replace ?

while it looks impressive with those features, the ultimate characteristic will always be those 2 that determines the longevity of the product.

I own one of these. There is no charing port on the light itself, only wireless charging and the 2 contacts at the bottom to charge in the case or base. The case and base have a USB-C port.

        • Do you find the case bulky or use it without the case for any reason?

Also, are the magnets strong and will they scratch surfaces mounting/dismounting?

          • +1

@ozilicious: The case is too bulky to carry around in your pocket, in a bag or car is fine. It's just there to charge the light or if you want to use it as a lantern.

The magnets are pretty strong and will hold the torch firmly in any orientation. There is plastic around the magnets and charging pins which are in the same spot, so while I wouldn't stick it on a car that you care about the paint on, it won't scratch up paint on furniture or other surfaces easily.

Only the $129.99 options include the case. The cheapest one only has the base.

        • . 2 contacts

I thought this was a hand held tazer.

          Disappointed.

  • Looks adorable but looks way to bulky for key ring like in photo

  • Pretty good deals on sofirn q8 on Amazon at the moment ,
    $103 for q8 16000lm or $78 for q8 11000lm
also on the rest of the range of Sorfirn on aliexpress .

  • Well thought out light from a nice brand. Been following this light's development for a while. I understand the benefits of wireless charging, but it's not for me. Even though any Qi pad works, still wish it had on-board USB-C charging. Hopefully the next gen does, happy with my Boruit for now

  • its back on sale again. cased one are 130$

yeah really wished it has onborad usbc port.
but you know what is definitely good about this thing? being a gift.
