Probably important to note that the Zephyrus line is about to be updated with this year's models. Main change is updated designs, CPU bump, and OLED screens.

Looks like OW is trying to get rid of their old stock now, as most well known brands 2024 models are coming soon, i will HODL.

Yeah these are definitely on clearance not many retailers have them and those that do have them at $2800+ still meanwhile the new ones that just released are $3099 on sale currently.

This Lenovo Legion Pro 5 has a similar screen for $400 more but comes with i9-13900hx, 32gb ram and 1tb SSD instead. Might be worth it for some who need the better CPU

    • Compared to the Zephyrus G16, the Legion Pro 5i is a much larger laptop and comes with a bulky 300W power adapter that weighs almost 1kg.

    • I can still add to cart

      • Says unavailable online for me + nothing in stock nearby - SA

This is a great laptop for work and play, I have one.

OP needs to add that this is all in a chassis that's under 2kg.

Sure, if you want a better spec gaming laptop, there are plenty, but, if you're looking for something portable with a decent graphics and decent battery life this is a pretty good choice.

But yes, new versions were announced at CES, but no idea when they will actually come to Aus.

  • Bought one, let’s see how long the Liquid Metal lasts

  • Still on my Dell G7 which i paid the same price for and will spank this like a redheaded step-child

    • Link to buy please?

  • Still a good deal? The 2024 G16 looks mostly QOL improvments… And much more expensive. The size is a bit of an issue for something like uni though isn't it?

    Edit: Nvm, OOS

  • Believe I got the last one white one [240Hz option] in Melbourne just now.

Extra $150 off as it was the display unit [allegedly for '2-3 weeks'] - if there is stock in your area may be good enquire as you may be able to bag* a deal.

*You get a paper OW bag with the laptop, charger and receipt - even if it's spitting outside. I made an unboxing (unbagging?) video for a chuckle/good memory.

After watching a bunch of reviews and initial impressions is its a great laptop, 4.5 year old Helios 300 (2019) broke Monday, huge upgrade in quality, feel, weight (2.00kg), battery (90Wh), temps, display (240Hz Nebula 500 nits) and obviously grunt [even cf when Helios was brand new].

Finally, if we're conquering a region I think a Zephyrus (Greek God) > a Legion.
