1230

Hey all, long time no chat! I hope you've all been well and having a great start to your year. I figured since I recently had a 2 week break from posting, now that I am back in business I should jump back online and share some love. And by love I mean pizza.

I know that there has been some tracking issues recently faced by some users shopping at Pizza Hut and Westpac. Know that I am always committed to making sure Cashback comes good for users who are having trouble here on OzB, and do a lot behind the scenes chasing up these issues to get long term solutions, and these recent issues are no exception. If you do find yourself having tracking issues, I never want you to hesitate from chatting about it in the comments, it is super useful that you guys keep me in the loop for these things. We will be keeping close eye on this offer and should any similar issues occur here, you can rest assure that I've got your back and will be available to help sort it out.

Anyways, enjoy your pizza if that's your jam. It's actually National Pizza Day, so you've got extra reason to chow down on a pepperoni.

    Great deal, thanks rep!

Too bad they got rid of the Golden Gaytimes and Magnums in Sydney :(

    • Aww, is your stash running out? 😆

      • +3

Yes unfortunately, and I'm not even eating them. My brothers hogging them all 😆😆

    • I think they probably keep in sa but take it of.their online menu?? Is that possible??

    • +1

Still enough cashback to get B&J's

  • +7

Upsized cashback 3pm AEDT - 9pm AEDT, folks.

  • Is the westpac tracking issue fixed?

    • +7

So from what we can tell the major issues is actually a significant delay where Cashback is coming through up to 5-6 business days after shopping. This is obviously not ideal so we are working on a solution to speed up tracking here. As for users who do not receive Westpac Bonus Cashback after that 5 day period, definitely reach out via email at [email protected] so we can reach out to our Westpac team to get that looked at closer. As it stands, from what we can tell actual failure to track for Westpac purchases is limited, it is mostly the delay that's causing strife.

      • Unfortunately Westpac bonus didn't track again this time.

Domino's bonus last time tracked fine.

Paid both with same Westpac debit card.
        So frustrating…

  • OK getting fat on PH What is the best deal other than pizza to get full use of offer ?

  • +1

Hey gyb will it track fine this time ??
All times before it only tracked like 1 of the 2 cashbacks (tracks for the lower $ amount order of the 2) for the Westpac bonus for me, that too quite late at times like almost 1 week late

I mean its good that your support email team solves it, but i dont want to be going through all that annoying and time consuming process of emailing all details etc all the time.

    • +1

Hey mate, as I mentioned in the post body, we're aware of tracking issues and are working on longer term solution, including keeping a close eye on this particular promotion. If you do experience issues, the best way to get these resolved is always to reach out to the team to get this resolved.

I purchased from Pizza Hut on 26/01. It was 50% Shopback and 50% from Westpac. Shopback cashback was tracked but up to now still no Westpac. I paid with PayPal using Westpac card. Could it be the reason why Westpac cashback wasn't tracked?

    • +6

Yes. Using PayPal does not allow Westpac bonuses to be tracked (because the transaction appears in your Westpac account as a PayPal transaction, as opposed to the merchant you are shopping from).

      From ShopBack's page:

Purchases made using online payment methods such as PayPal, where ShopBack is not able to identify whether an eligible card was used at the merchant checkout, will not qualify for Westpac bonus Cashback (even where an eligible card is linked e.g. to the PayPal account).

      • Thank you for that. But the transaction is actually identified as Pizza Hut transaction. The transaction even has Pizza Hut logo next to it. At least that's the way it's displayed on Westpac app. I would prefer not to share CC details with Pizza Hut especially keeping in mind their recent data leak.

        • +3

Regardless, you still have to use the Westpac card directly to be eligible for the Westpac cashback bonus.

        • Thank you for that. But the transaction is actually identified as Pizza Hut transaction. The transaction even has Pizza Hut logo next to it.

I know. Even I used PayPal last time, and found out the hard way. I messaged @gotyourback about it, and he told me whatever I’ve told you.

I used PayPal for the added level of security, without realising that it would fail to register for my Westpac bonus.

          • @Nelumbo: That's very strange… I purchased from Domino's on 06/01/24 using PayPal (Westpac) and both Shopback cashback and Westpac bonus were tracked without any issue. I thought the same would be applicable to Pizza Hut

            • +2

@olgagodo: Well its all fine and good with paypal until it does not track by itself then you come to conflicting with Shopback's own terms and conditions.

So yes you are taking a risk that if Shopback doesnt track cashback by itself using paypal used westpac (or even westpac card use directly), then without meeting their terms and conditions (clearly on all their pages) you may not get cashback.

Unless you are specifically needing to use paypal for some other reason (say like you wanted to use part paypal balance or something like that) then stick to the terms defined by SB, if you dont meet them they likely will not help you in that case where something goes wrong. (your screenshot of westpac transactions will look a lot different to the ones payed directly by westpac card without third party paypal)

  • Does anyone know if Westpac digital card would work for cashback or you need the actual physical card?

    • digital card works!

    • My debit digital is the same as physical :(

      • The Westpac digital should have a dynamic CVC number that changes every 24 hours that makes it different to the physical.

        • Would dynamic Cvc work when saving digital card number on shopback app or they need the fix CVC number

          • @froddo: I think you’d need the fixed CVC from the physical in that case. But I haven’t tried myself.

          • +1

@froddo: I've saved my physical card CVC to my shopback app, but I have used my digital card and dynamic CVC to shop and had no issues with transactions tracking.

It would make sense they are validating card number and expiry and not the CVC in this case

            • @reivaxX: Is there an easy way to update the Westpac card expiry date on shopback?

              • @maccam01: remove that from linked cards.

                then add it back in

              • @maccam01: Not sure. Just add it as a new card I guess?

                • @reivaxX: Many thanks for the suggestions. In the end I went: add new card and put in the new details. It seems to have updated the details without the need to remove the old card.

          • @froddo: i just add the digital card to shopback app each time before buying (incase change of CVV number causes any issue)

Can spend $14.30 to maximise cashback amount.

    • Thank you!

    • only spend upto (10/.3) or $33.33 tho otherwise you wont get any extra cashback.

most is $20 cashback at $33.33 or 60% max

      or (10/.7 - $14.28) then $14.28*(.7+.3) ~ to get 100% cashback

  • Hey @gotyourback I filed a missing cashback claim and it was rejected can you help me with that by any chance? It was just a plain shopback cashback, no Westpac lounge or anything

    • +1

Hey mate, happy to take a look into this to see if I can help out, shoot me a DM about it if you haven't already!

  • +1

Hi GYB, any chance of an ebay upsize that includes the use of Feb17 code?

    • +1

I can't see any upsize with eBay on the immediate horizon, I'm afraid, we should have one in the works but might not be in time for it to stack with this code. Hopefully when we do get this in the works we will be able to have some codes honoured alongside it, but I can't say with any certainty at the moment.

      • Hi GYB, any plan for Klook upsize in Feb?

  • +1

Purchased the 26/1 deal. Paid direct using Westpac card. Normal cashback tracked but Westpac didn't and still hasn't been added/tracked. I logged a missing cashback request on the 28/1 and received email confirmation but haven't heard anything since. Going to give this a miss!

    • Hey mate, apologies for the delay, sometimes it can take a while for the Westpac team to get back to us to be able to resolve missing Bonus Cashback. Particularly given the delays that I've mentioned above, the team are under the pump at the moment. This should be sorted for you shortly, reach out if you don't receive an update come this coming week and I'll do what I can to help.

  • Gone are the days of 100% CB for those without Westpac?

    • Not gone mate, just not always. Definitely still on the cards for the future, but in between Pizza Hut are running these offers as opposed to just one 100% offer once in a while.

      • Heys @gotyourback do you know if it's ok to use dynamic CVC when registering for Westpac additional rewards in shopback aop I'm still waiting for my physical card

        • +1

          Shouldn't be an issue mate.

  • Can someone check my maths? Is $14.25 the max spend that will equal 100% free (no out of pocket)?

    • $14.29+ to max out the standard cashback (10/0.7), and $33.33+ (i.e., 10/0.3) to max out the Westpac cashback

      • +1

Sorry, i will try word my question better. I am not asking how to get the maximum cashback. I am asking what’s the maximum spend to get an entirely free ordeR (standard + westpac)

        • +2

yea your calculation is close enough, only like 3-4 cents short.

  • Tracking failure with the recent Boost offer, cashback failure with Ebay plus offer. Terrible experience of late with SB @gotyourback.
Cmmon Cashrewards, up the game - its time.

    • Hey mate, sorry to hear of your issues with Boost, let me know if there's anything I can assist with you there. I'm happy to keep offering info as to why your eBay Plus Cashback hasn't been approved. Bear with, I get a lot of DMs so can't always reply super quick there.

  • Ok for the 2pizzas for $19? deal

  • Pizza for LNY 🐉

  • @gotyourback had some problems with a boost cashback and also a dominos westpac deal recently, hopefully this time will be alright

  • Perfect for the desert pack $16.95 🤤

  • Order with code HUT5130 tracked for me last time around? Is it valid for this promo as well?

    • +1

Yes, "Cashback is eligible on the use of all official Pizza Hut Promo codes."

      • How about the survey free pizza codes?

Edit : my bad just read the conditions :D

  • Is cashback eligible for "Pay in Store" orders? I have been having issues with paying online and had to use Paypal last time, but would prefer to do a pay in store if possible…

    • +1

      Not eligible

  • +1

My Westpac cashback didn't track on the last Dominio's order, the main SB didn't either but I put in a claim. Will I get the Westpac part?

    • Won't automatically include the Westpac part, you'll need to put it in the comments. If they don't include it, then you'll have to email them to add it

  • Ah damn. Missed the deal. Was expecting like expire at midnight or something.

  • 70% Cashback tracked but 30% westpac cashback hasn't tracked again :(

    • Both mine have tracked at the same time as usual just a little while ago. I’m using a Westpac debit card. Worked last time too although it happened at 5am last time this was on in Jan.

      • Did you already pick up your order or preordered?
I preordered for Tuesday pick up.
I'm wondering if that's causing the delay?

        • I preordered at 3:40pm and picked up tonight at 6:30pm. All previous times when I’ve preordered (one was an around a week later) they have tracked. I always enter the card details for Pizza Hut tho they aren’t saved. Used my digital with dynamic CVV. Wonder why it’s been so inconsistent for some.

          • @wdw: I also entered my westpac debit card. Not saved as well.

Last Dominos westpac bonus tracked however.

This is second time pizza hut westpac bonus hasn't tracked.

    • Yep same here, 70% base tracked but 30% Westpac bonus didn't

      • @gotyourback

        • Hey mates, I mentioned in my comment up here that there's a bit of a known delay with Westpac tracking at the moment. If you do know receive your tracking after that period, definitely let me know and also reach out via email at [email protected] so we can reach out to our Westpac team for you.

  • +1

Both base and Westpac tracked for me

  • Both base and Westpac tracked for me too via app today

  • If u order 2 pizzas for $19 will you get 4 on 2 4 tues ? For future reference

  • +1

Got standard tracking but no Westpac bonus stuff yet still :( Guess I have to wait until Monday next week to submit

  • Wife got Westpac bonus, but no standard tracking. Shopback is all over the place these days. They're making us work hard for their cashback.

    • Hey mate, this shouldn't be at all possible with the way the technology is set up. Happy to take a look at this, having a look it looks like the email address you last supplied me for your wife isn't up to date so do reach out with the correct address so I can have a look at what you're seeing here.

      • Hi, just letting you know I've sent you a private message regarding this…

  • +1

This time around again Westpac didnt track at all normal one tracked fine. ???

I even only limited myself to ordering 1 order only this time too (to avoid any conflict like 2 or more orders then westpac only tracks for few of those actually ordered)

I hate emailing and wasting time supplying information to [email protected] (they do the job right but it is not convenient at all ( I mean why we bother to turn of our adblockers say if we still have to give all information manually).

    • Same here, massive pain in my ass

    • Same here

      • Did not track for me either. Messaged them on the app and they told me
"Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your missing Westpac bonus towards the purchase made from Pizza Hut on 9/2/2024.

As per checking with the relevant team, we have been informed there has been a delay for the Pizza Hut Westpac bonus to be tracked into your account.

The bonus should be added 5 days after the purchase date. If this is not reflected after 14/2/2024, do let us know!"

    • @nicholasv @gembel @USER DC - As I explained here Westpac Bonuses are facing a significant delay for Pizza Hut, taking 5 business days on occasion. If you still haven't received the bonus by then end of the week, at this point do reach out and we can assist. As mentioned, our team are looking into this delay in the hopes this can be fixed in future, appreciate you patience in the meantime!

      • Thanks it tracked today (only made 1 order this time tho, wish did more orders to reach the total $10 caps its okay next time bigger)

      • Tracked today for me as well finally
