    How long does it take for you to send out a physical sim?

    To me looks the 6Gb sim on special still the best deal for Europe especially if need longer than 14 days.

    Any Bali (Indonesia) sim or ESIM that uses Telkomsel without passport reg?

      Hello, not at the moment the best we have is the Telkomsel eSIM or Physical SIM but it requires passport registration as these are local SIM (government regulation)

      Our "roaming" Indonesian eSIM either uses IM3 or XL.

      1. Roaming eSIMs - which works with all three major network in Japan (KDDI/Softbank/NTT Docomo), these are great if you are travelling all over Japan for maximum coverage! and these also have long validity 180 days after purchase.

      2. IIJ Docomo eSIMs - these are local eSIM using the Docomo network, we think these are great value :) It also has 180 days validity.

      3. Roaming (Saver) eSIM - these are exceptionally good value but the validity is 30 days (i.e. you have to use the eSIM in Japan within 30 days) - so these won't work as you are travelling in April.

          What we mean by 180 days validity is that you have 180 days from purchase date to use/activate the eSIM, this is different than their "service period" which is generally 30 days, we also have some with 90 days "service period"

          Yes the local Docomo eSIM will cover just fine, but if we have to recommend we would still go for the roaming eSIM as it will automatically choose the best network.

      Which one specifically?

      If it does not say then there is no hard "validity" period as you will only receive a redemption code for some of our Europe eSIM, redemption code does not expire and can be exchanged for the QR code at anytime (barring any changes from the network provider of course!).

      These include our newest Europe eSIM from Orange, Vodafone and the UK eSIM.

      You can either get the AIS or Orange Global eSIMs, both will cover the destination you mentioned.

      We recommend the Orange Global eSIM in your case as you will get 10GB in Guatemala and Nicaragua and a separate 5GB for Costa Rica!

      Hello!

      When you first scan / install the eSIM you must have "internet" connection, usually Wi-Fi will work the best.

      The speeds for this eSIM are 4G speed, once you go over the data allowance your speed will be shaped/reduced to 128kbps.

      WIth our eSIM you will be able to use WhatsApp and Google in China.

          Correct, if you install the eSIM whilst you are in Australia, when you reach China you just need to turn data roaming on.

          Just make sure you wait for up to 10 minutes for the connection to come through.

          And yes Google and Whatsapp will work

              Our China eSIM uses Taiwanese network provider, I do not believe Taiwanese provider blocks any sites so most if not all your apps will work fine including Outlook, Wechat and Spotify.

              @Mario g: @Mario g: these are data-only eSIMs. They have no phone number.

              But most phones nowadays will allow you to use 2 eSIMs (or 1 physical SIM plus 1 eSIM) at the same time.

              So if you want to receive calls and SMS to your Australian number you still need to enable international roaming with your phone provider. Then configure your phone to use your Australian SIM for voice & SMS, and the eSIM for data.

              Highly recommend you do get international roaming working because many apps and websites require SMS for authentication.

                @theoofside: yeah i do normally have a sim when im in China, Vietnam, japan but this seems like it will be alot easier if its just data. I can easily communicate without making calls on the phone but on the apps with data and keep the cost down on roaming. Last time i spent far too much on calls with roaming always having to top up.

    I had a brief look at this (great and very detailed post) but too me it seems that when I look into my MobiMatter App they are still significantly cheaper. I only checked for Thailand as I will be travelling next week.

    They have 10 days 50GB for 8.99USD (about 14AUD), while on your webpage it comes up as 25AUD, so 20AUD after discount

      Yes they do have good value eSIMs, just note our DTAC Thailand eSIM is currently on promotion with True Unlimited Data until 30 April 2024

      Bear in mind as well we are Aussie based with local Aussie support that respond within minutes almost 24/7 - although we understand that not everyone may need the support but with us you will definitely be taken care of :)

        But I have used MobiMatter 5 times (1X Europe and 4X Asia) in the last 12 month and never had any issues.
        Do you guys also have an app? As I find it super convenient to be able to search, purchase and activate their esims via the app.

          The DTAC eSIM will last for 10 days from first activation - the data allowance is unlimited up until 30 April.

          You don't see an expiry date because these do not have an expiry date, you will receive a redemption code (which does not expire) to redeem for the QR code.

      The free USA trials are great if you can get it to work (seems to be quite finicky)

      We offer stress free and seamless installation.

      The AT&T seems to have better coverage than T-Mobile in general, but T-Mobile works fine for most of our customers.

      Note for AT&T eSIM it is only available for iPhone users.

      No you can't 128kbps is only good for text messaging (whatsapp etc)

      Depending on location we have seen our Japan eSIM go up to 200Mbps+ (non saver).

      If you ran out of the 5GB it will stop working.

      We recommend getting AT&T or Verizon physical SIM which has bigger data allowance in Canada. We will have this on sale soon stay tune!

        Specifically for the World eSIM if you delete the eSIM technically you can install to a different device but 3HK charges $10AUD for a replacement QR codecc

      Please refer to each product page, most of our eSIMs are valid for 180 days after purchase with 30 days expiry after activation.

      Only the saver eSIM has 30 days validity and expiry.

        I don't have an esim compatible phone but the GF does and we will be travelling overseas a few times this year. Without this info it makes it very risky to buy the esims..

          The link you mentioned is the Japan IIJ eSIM, if you look carefully it says 'Must be used within 180 days" -> this means the QR code is valid for 180 days from purchase, it will last 7 or 14 days from first activation/use.

    I bought one of these to use in Europe last year.

    Phone asked for a sim pin - I hadn't realised that the sim pin was on the card, so I contacted the help line - got a quick response helping me out (without highlighting my oversight)

    Card worked without issue.
