HUBBED/ParcelPoint - Are You Allowed to Use Collection Points' Addresses When Shopping with Retailers That Use Couriers?

I'm struggling to find more than one (unanswered) forum thread to answer this question, and there's a general lack of info as of late in general about HUBBED/ParcelPoint.

Essentially with Australia Post's PO Box Plus service going away (being a paid service), and a number of retailers using couriers like Couriers Please and Team Global Express, among others, sometimes mixed with Australia Post and not accepting of Parcel Collect or Parcel Locker addresses, I'm trying to understand if any option exists to just have parcels sent directly to the collection point rather than having to wait and see if redirection is available, and adding a couple of business days in the process.

This makes life easier for me and for couriers, because why attempt delivery of an address when I would already prefer it go to a business the courier will have to deliver to/pickup from anyway?

The only problem I can see is the use of Australia Post unexpectedly, the collection point may not accept it, similar to how Couriers Please won't accept Parcel Collect addresses.

Any ideas? I swear one day I'll live somewhere where we can get a parcel locker installed in our building, but for now this is the best option I and many others have. Just sick of parcels bouncing to a collection point which isn't always the closest one either.

  • This entirely depends on the retailer and what services they have agreed/signed up for.

Amazon will allow you to receive and return orders via ParcelPoint.

Shein does not allow you to receive at ParcelPoint, but you can return at one if I recall correctly.

  • Check if they are continuing it for existing customers - is what people are saying on whirlpool

  • Couriers have their own collection points, check location near you in their site
