Wouldn't the Max/High Endurance range be more suitable for dashcams or security cameras?

    • Depends, Viofo for example recommends Max and Extreme for their dashcams. High is in their ‘Not Recommend’ list.

        Avada Kedavra!

    too extreme for me

Reminds how god damn insane it is that phone companies charge hundreds of dollars extra for an extra 128gb which costs them basically nothing.

    • +2

Was literally browsing s24 ultra this morning, 400 bucks extra for 500gb more internal memory. Oh and no expansion slot. Absolute robbery.

I hate to be that person, but internal phone storage is not microSD. It usually has better read/write speed than microSD. For example, S24 Ultra Storage has over 1Gbps read/write speed.

I understand your point, not everyone requires that speed on a daily basis.

AnKu is correct, the memory built into phones is should be, of very high quality and able to handle years of abuse.

I believe my old Nokia 6.1 (2018) is very slow because the built-in memory is failing. If I could have replaced the memory and a genuinely new battery I wouldn't have bought this Pixel 6a.

Having said that, having some cheaper built-in lower speed storage would be ideal if adding a card slot cannot be done.

  • Cheers, got a couple for the Nintendo.

  • same price as Silicon Power 128GB High Endurance Class 10 U3 V30 A1 MicroSD Memory Card

    • link?

      • Here, it's actually 9 cents more. :)

It's not sold by Amazon but a 3rd party Sunwood-AU. Reviews seem positive (1000+) but any risk of it being fake?

Sandisk 128GB Extrreme microSDXC UHS-I Card

I would probably watch out since they can't even spell Extreme in the title… but someone let us know how they go when they get one…

Test it with h2testw (be sure to keep the card cool while testing). Amazon will accept returns and refund dodgy cards.

But yeah, I wouldn't bother buying from this seller.

  • What do people with dash cams do? Delete files daily?

    • +1

Loop recording will take care of that automatically

  • How’s this for drones?

    • Quite extreme

      • Nah, only good for Extreme Drones …

  • Is it good investment for dashcam, which I am planning to buy :)

  • The Samsung one is cheaper, I just ordered it for my Analogue Pocket, but it's coming from the UK, it'll take two weeks, I didn't notice when I ordered it :(
