Fixes most issues in my life, tried spraying it on my wife the other days didn't go well.

    • Maybe it will work better with 300g more

        She might like BC80 more

WD40 is a bit on the small size.

        • +3

          Calm down. It's only a BC80 bit a bbc80

    • +1

Maybe try it on your frozen nuts and bolts next time

    • The struggle is real

    • Ah rookie mistake, always duct tape before spraying

      Generally they would prefer Chanel-05
      But that's Not on discount

lol, protects from rust, its a solvent!

    • Importantly it's a dispersant, not a lubricant.

      • I don't know what a dispersant is, but I use it for the opposite of lubricating.. literally.

I use nothing other than WD40 to clean motorcycle chains nowadays, works well and isn't overpriced, motorcycle marketed "chain cleaner".

Inox is also on sale from bunnings. little more expensive, but still well priced and better product. Normally 12.95

Inox is way better. And Australian made.

    • was on special at my bunnings yesterday for $7.50

    • Never heard of this. Will give it a try.

    • Much better deal.

    • Any idea if it's suitable on bike/motorcycle chains? WD40 has been working great to remove old chain lube + dirty/grime and not affecting any o-rings. Wonder if I should give this a whirl instead one day.

      • INOX for light lubricating and WD40 for cleaning your chains. Two different products.

Make sure you order online from mitre 10 or they won't honour the price as they're franchised

  • Would this be good for my soft close drawers that are no longer soft close

No WD-40 isn't really a lubricant, get lithium grease if it is metal on metal. Get silicone if it is plastic/rubber/one side metal/most things.

      • You sound like you know your stuff!

Can I grab a recommendation on a squeaky gaming chair that cries grape when I go to lean even like 5°? 😅 Thanks in advance!

        • I'd check that all the bolts are tight first, they come loose over time sometimes. Any generic grease should be fine not a part that moves a lot unless you are spinning in your chair.

I still don't understand what WD40 is or does. I've also managed to go through 42 years of life without having a need to use it!

    • +1

It's your nightly or daily lub my friend, stop all corners for squeaks.

  • Thanks OP- hope Amazon will price match

  • Anyone got a long lasting lubricant recco for around the house things like door hinges?

    • thinner oil like chain, sewing machine or hair clipper oil, not too much or it runs out the bottom of the hinge.

  • +1

Don't people just use water and a cloth or brush if needed to clean bird poop off their car? 🤔

  • Tried Wurth product (ultra 2040), much better than WD40. If mixed WD40 with water, the solution blended with water. A big no for me.

Wurth HHS lubricant is superior too.

    • Wurth for Professional
      WD40 for kids

  • Good old Possum's piss. Fixes everything

  • With all the people saying WD40 is not really a lubricant what's the best thing for door hinges and similar house things?

How is something like this without aerosol?
